Pen spinner and new lucid dreamer.

Hi, my name is Jack. I experienced a dream that I could control last night so this morning I thought "what if there was a term for this type of dreaming?" So I Googled it and found the term lucid dreaming and dream control (I now know they're both different). It sounds so interesting that I decided to try it.

I didn't get to this forum until I saw a Off-topic post on a pen spinning forum about lucid dreaming. And yes I'm a pen spinner.

Well anyway, I'm 17 and still in school. I'm Taiwanese but I'm Americanized. Aaaaaaaaaaaand....that's all I can think of right now. :/

I hope to fully achieve this skill.

      Hi, welcome.

Yes, lucid dreaming and dream control are different. You can have either without the other. I'm sure you've heard, but a lucid dream is simply a dream in which you know that you're dreaming. You'd think that as soon as someone realized they were dreaming, they would have perfect dream control, but that isn't always the case. It's sometimes hard to convince the subconscious that it can do anything. You might tell yourself to fly up in the air, but you're so used to gravity your mind will be like, "no, it's impossible to just float into the air, sorry, can't do it." Good luck with your attempts.

      What is pen spinning?

      Hi.
Yeah, in my first lucid, I jumped out a window, trying to fly.
I was half expecting it to work, but it didn't.
Good thing it was a ground level window.

We had a pen spinner at our school.
People found out and were trying it themselves. It's harder than it looks.

Haha, pen spinning is quiet easy actually. Just requires a lot of practice.

That's pretty much the exact image that came to mind when I heard the term. I didn't think it would really be that though.
