Welcome to the forum. We hope that you enjoy your stay!
A WILD is Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming. It is when your body falls asleep b4 you do!

Well technically there's a physiological change in your mental state, but essentially, yes, you fall asleep but are still self-aware to some extent.

My short definition of a WILD is something like this: 'Keeping your awareness while falling asleep - into a dream'
I suggest looking at that link too

The main alternative method to WILD is DILD - dream induced lucid dreams.
This involves realising you are dreaming while already in a normal dream.
I find them more fun, but harder to keep going
