I accidentally lucid dream...need some help

I just found out what has been happening to me, and that what I'm doing is lucid dreaming. It's been happening sometimes for years now and it scared me so bad and just happened again recently so I thought I'd try to figure out what was happening. Every time I do this I see scary images and it always creeps me out. I'm a naturally scared person, I'm scared of everything, I wish I wasn't but what can ya do? If I could learn to control it and find a way to get past these fears and stop seeing the things I do in these dreams I might not mind so much and I think it could be fun. But can someone just give me an overview of maybe why this happens and if I should continue doing this on purpose or what I'm really new to this whole concept so can someone help me figure this out??? thanks

Once you are aware of your dream you have the ultimate control. Shape things as you see fit. At first I couldn't just change the direct of the dream I had to follow the general "rules" for example if it is something really scary you have 2 choices you can either be the prey or the hunter. Once you make that distinction and realize that you aren't limited in any way in a dream you can take control. You have to realize that it is a product of your mind and that means you have the ability to overcome it. You can have unlimited strength and endurance in a dream. Next time stop being scared and kill the thing that frightens you. Once you win one battle in a dream you will realize all the potential you have. Honestly I love when my brain throws a vampire or zombie into the mix. How often in real life can you ever feel that powerful or in control. Eventually you will be able to change the direction of your dreams totally. If your not feeling up to an epic battle than head to a friends house or somewhere you feel safe (not by actually trying to run from the thing and get there as that will just play into the fear but by realizing it is a dream and you are the creator meaning you can make it whatever you like.) Take control you will be amazed at the world it will open up for you. Out of everywhere in the universe in a dream is the only place where you really have no need for fear. You make the scary things appear so you can make them disappear. (Or kill them which is tons more fun and much more liberating)
Not sure if this will help I'm by no means an expert but I do have control over my dreams and I enjoy every minute!

      Cheers

      hmmm

see ya I was running in my dream and I couldn't get out of the house in it I couldn't get away I couldn't talk to tell it to leave, I always see ghosts, or in one my ex, who I was with at the time of the dream he had the scariest face on and all I wanted to do was turn it off, but didn't know how, maybe I didn't realize that I had the power cause I didn't believe it but if it happens again I'll try, I have an infant so I don't get much time to sleep and I would prefer to try lucid dreaming in the daytime so I will try it when her dad takes her and see what happens, it's always somewhat fun when I feel myself fall into the dream then comes the scary parts. I hope I can do it. But I have just one question, is this just dreaming or is there some sort of spiritual part to it?

Not sure there, I usually lean to the science side of things and my personal belief is it is all coming from your own brain. (many would argue this fact though) That being said I have read articles that indicate that the "scary" things we create in our dreams have real life meaning and that by defeating them we can move past issues we have in real life. (ie: post traumatic stress disorder) However I again will add the disclaimer that I am no expert (psychological or otherwise) I just find it very interesting. I would check with someone who can help you interpret the dreams and see what the real life connections are. It could be very enlightening. Good Luck and Sweet dreams!
