Thumbs up Inspiration For The New DV Members! Newbies Should Really Read This!

Hello Dream Views Newbies! I am ineverwakeup97! I am an experienced lucid dreamer with a few words(possibly paragraphs) to inspire you all!

You all know what LDing is now. Your life has just been enhanced by practicing such a fine art. Yes, I would say being able to control your dreams lucidly is art. When I was...I think 7 or 8, I had my first lucid dream ever. I had watched the episode of Spongebob Squarepants where Spongbob fiddles with his friends' dreams. That night, I had a lucid dream. I had no clue what lucid dreaming was obviously. I was with my old friends I don't know anymore( ). I become lucid while walking through a field with. I think I recall saying "Shit." My friends looked surprised by my vocabulary of choice. I told them: "This isn't real life! It's a dream! We can do whatever we want here!" At that point, we started dropping a lot of F Bombs. About 3 years later at age ten, I was at the school library in a dream. I became lucid. My second LD! I saw some hotties, so I summoned my guitar and played for them. Over the course of my fifth grade year, I keep doing a mantra every night. "I will have control." I got lucky about ten times. I eventually gave up by the end of fifth grade. Then, a good amount of years later(Not letting my current age out), I had another LD. I thought it was so fun to have another "Controlled Dream" as I called it. So, that same week, I went to Google. I searched: "how to alter dreams." The first thing that came up, was a link to Dream Views.

When I read through the DV introduction, I nearly shit myself in amazement at all the info they had here! That same week, I signed up for DV. At first, I had a smooth LD rate of about one LD every weekend. Soon, I started to experience the infamous Dryspells. That's a long period of no LDs. I was experiencing these all of the school year. At the end of the school year, I reached a rate of 5 LDs a month. That was after 4 months and 20 LDs. All of summer break, my rate was 10 LDs a month! It literally fucking doubled(proves how stressful school can be)! When school started up again, my rate quickly plummeted down to 4-5 a month again. Now my school year's almost over, and I've achieved a rate of 5-7 a month. But, I may not like that rate too much. Yes, it's a good rate for a person still in school though. But, I think just even the accomplishment, and the pride, and will to say I've had a lucid dream is enough for me, and EVERYONE ELSE on the planet! If had given up, I wouldn't have had as many LDs as I have now! Do you think Hukif, WakingNomad, Raven Knight, Puffin, and all the other professional LDers at DV would have so many LDs if they had given up?! HELL NO! Lucid Dreaming is one of the greatest discoveries made by mankind in my opinion! LUCID DREAMING RULES!!!!!

      I'm freaking jealous!
I only get about 1 lucid dream a month, if that.
But nice thread, it really is inspiring for new members.
      Keep dreaming.

I try, I can usually manage to recall some fragments of a dream every night, but its so strenuous :/
I've been on DV a lot more recently, so hopefully that'll help.
      Keep dreaming.
