      Not realizing when i'm lucid?

      First of all, Hi
My name is Lisa from Denmark and i found out about lucid dreaming around Christmas :p
      That was my introduction XD

I've been stalking this forum for a while now and thought i would join so i did ^^
And then i've been keeping a dream journal, but it doesn't really seems like i have any dream signs :/ that bothers me...

also, if i get lucid, i kinda loose focus? is that normal?

it's kinda strange, almost everytime i end up lucid, it's like i stop up and say "hey, i'm dreaming" and then continue where i left, not quite realizing that i'm in a dream? or maybe i'm just loosing focus? i'm not completely sure but when i wake up it annoys me like hell :/

here are an example: i live in an apartment, and i got lucid by exiting the cellar, finding a pair of pants that was mine laying on the stairs. (i saw two pairs of some jeans that i only own one of) then when it hit me, i tried walking up the stairs, it felt incredible, but after 5-6 steps my dream faded completely, i tried to spin around but it didn't really help :/

And when i finally realize that i'm lucid, everything seems so unreal.. i can't completely get it to match the feeling of how alot of people explains being lucid feels. Saying it's almost like being awake? also when i am lucid people don't wanna talk to me anymore XD hahahah

Last time i got lucid, i remember being in a room with white walls, i then thought, "when i turn around, there'll be a door behind me" and there was. then walked to the door, saying "on the other site of that door, there is a boy" and opening the door, everything went white, i then saw the boy true enough, he smiled, but he didn't say anything. I just stared at him, not saying anything though i wanted to and everything went blurry, i tried to spin around and it did help a bit, but i then woke up :/

is this normal for a beginner? and can i do something to get away with these problems? as well as inducing WILD? i've tried alot of things but i still seems to loose focus in the end and just dream about random things instead XD

      This is very normal.
Not necessarily for a beginner. I still have dreams like this.
You are basically just having weak, ungrounded, or unstable lucids.
There are some tips that people use; clapping, rubbing their hands together, spinning around, and jumping off of high places. I once jumped off of my banister to my bottom floor five times in one dream because it kept going fuzzy. Something about a shock to the senses seems to spike the clarity of the dream.
When you dream seems unreal, see if you can see your fingerprints. That helps me become more in tune and focused in the dream. Plus, it looks awesome. lol
---o--- my DCs say I'm dreamy.

Thanks! i'll try all that stuff out next time i succeed being lucid

also i really can imagine you jumping off a banister multiple times haha

Now when you say it, that might explain why people get so scared when they are having a nightmare; all your senses are overreacting why everything seems so real

Hahaha this happened to me about a week ago. I became lucid for like, literally maybe only about ten seconds then I lost it. It really is annoying as hell. Especially for people like us who are beginners and trying hard to get the full experience of a lucid dream.
