      First LD induced

I had my lucid dreams back when I was a teen, than lost it...

2 month's ago I read a article about lucid dreams and remembered mine. Never thought I could actually induce them.
So I choose my reality checker (the position of the symbol in my wrist watch) and started to do some checks over the day, but I'm always forgetting to do this. (i thought, ok I don't have enough discipline to do this).

two days ago I was dreaming about my room and when I stretched my arm to open the window I saw that the symbol in my watch was with another shape e thought "I'm dreaming!!!".
Then I made everything by the book, or at least as the books say the newbies make: -- too much excited ("what do I do!! what do I do")
      - Tried to fly and first Hoover than left the balcony a bit.
      - changed scenery
but in the new scenery I've listen to a voice that started to give me orders. I didn't liked it and thought: "what is this voice? I didn't chose to have a voice? shut up"

And suddenly started to waken up, nothing worked anymore to stay in there.

I woke up very hungry with my self... I should've let the voice talk and then change scenery again or something... Damn!
But it was the most incredible experience I've ever had in my live. And with so few training I already flied, changed scenery, etc, etc.

I never actually believe it could be possible (i'm very skeptical in almost everything)

Now I want more... much more, and now my motivation totally changed!

But i'm know it was just a coincidence... I mean... I saw the watch for coincidence and not because i decided to look at him... I still have a lot of work to do...

(i'm sorry about my English, I've done my best)

Hi Ebrium, welcome to DV .

It's great that you've had lucid dreams already. If you want to have consistent lucid dreams, I would say first you should keep a dream journal every day, and note down anything at all that you remember from your dreams, even if it's one word. You should continue doing reality checks, and do them when something strange happens, or when something happens that happens a lot in your dreams.

yes. I've started my journal today. (also had dreams today, unfortunately didn't get any lucidity) humpf

about the reality checks... I thought I should do them every time for any reason, like an obsession, so frequently it turned to an habit. like: if i did it every half an hour and made it allways, I would in a dream and then find out its a dream.
But as i've been reading here, I should find patterns in my dreams and look for them everytime, just than make a reality check.

      Made thats easier.

(I need to have more... Ive already wasted 33 years of my life without LD induced)

Yes, you should look for a recurring theme in your dreams, and reality check whenever you see it, or it happens, or you do it, depending on what the theme is. Two themes in my dreams are Minecraft, and a member on DV that I chat to a lot. So every time I open Minecraft, or start speaking to the member, I do an RC.

But is "minecraft" allways in your dreams, or you just find something about it often?

It's not in all my dreams. But while the rest of my dreams seem to be random, I seem to have a lot of dreams that are Minecraft-like. Feel free to look through my dream journal and see what I mean.

Want to welcome you also. I've had about 25 lucids now, more since I joined, and they're still kind of like this for me, lol. I've found a lot of great people on this site and they're all very helpful and nice. I know you will enjoy it as much as I have. =)

Good luck to you on your dream journey!
