Wink Longtime reader, finally decided to join!

Hey everybody, like most of the newbies i stumbled upon this website while googling random stuff trying to find out what exactly i was experiencing. for me, it all started when i was i kid. When i was young, anywhere from 5-12, i naturally had fantastic dreams. Lucidity was seen at a fairly constant rate. The odd thing is that when i was younger, all of my dreams would involve nightmares, i would then realise that i should not be scared, and the dream would turn into a lucid where i could fight off what would bother me.

I remember a few dozen dreams where i forcefully closed my eyes at strongly as possible within the dreams to avoid the bad guys. When they opened, i lay in my bed in a sense of awe.

The thing that bothers me the most is that as i get older, almost 19, my lucidity is almost innexistant and my recall and vividness is terrible. I dont really know why we seem to recall better dreams as kids, but it surely seems the case for me. I figure that joining this community will help to bolster my abilities by raising ADA.

Thanks for those who took the time to get to know a little bit about me!

      Welcome to DV!
Having them naturally when younger is helpful, always.
You can build back lucidity and recall though don't worry!

I was in the exact same position as you my friend Being a natural like erible said, will help you alot since first of all you know that you can do it. Your brain is used to being able to do it and dream control will come easier since you've also already done that. There are more than just ADA in terms of techniques. Make sure you check them all out and give them a shot!

Just start writing that Dream Journal and you're on your way. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Yeah i restarted doing my dream journal, i did it through my first year of college and then i stopped when summer came around. Just wrote in it yesterday, figured it would be a great help. I have read alot on this site so i am familiar with basically everything. The technique that interests me the most is WILD due to the 100 percent success rate if done properly. Theres just no luck involved like in a DILD.

      Thanks for the feedback guys
