      least but not last...

Hi to the gods and noobs and all other dreamers. So much great info and discussion on this site. I'm having to tear myself away in fact. Seems that everything I might post about already has a nice thread going. I plan to enroll for adoption when I'm eligible. I already see a couple people who would make good parents. If your nest is empty, you are welcome to PM me!

Watching the creativity of your dreaming-mind with little interference from your lucid-mind is amazing in itself. I've seen non-LD images that blew my mind visually and emotionally. But what if our lucid-mind exercises creativity as well as our dreaming-mind, as with a LD? Some of the questions I want to explore:

Which is deeper, stranger, more powerful, and more nakedly honest, the regular dream or the lucid? When lucid, what exactly is the difference between the dreamer and the dreamed if they are infact one mind? Is there a connection between lucid dreaming and meditation? Because the goal of meditation is to transcend the illusion of the self or the illusion of any separation between the thinker and the thoughts (i.e. the dreamer and the dream). Are there any limits within a LD (e.g. detail, time, logic)? Is it possible to induce synesthesia (e.g. "smell sounds", "hear colors")? Why do some dreams seem boring when they must in fact be full of the richest psychological symbols? And while I don't personally believe in psychic dreams (e.g. remote-viewing, pre-cognition, shared dreams), that doesn't mean that "astral projection" is without value or insight. No one can prove that dreams don't access alternate dimensions if those dimensions don't otherwise intersect with waking experience.

I'm interested in chatting with far-out dream explorers. Thanks to everyone here!

Wow, what a post! Welcome to dreamviews!

In lucid dreams, you are only limited by your belief in yourself. You can go anywhere and do anything if your desire and belief are strong enough.

Well maybe anyway. I've not yet tried to create a rock that was so heavy I could not lift it, or experiemted with what happens when an immoveable object is struck by an unstoppable force.

I look forward to seeing you around, sounds like you are a deep thinker and have lots of questions!
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

It's wonderful to have another member who has an open mind to things unproven.

      Welcome to the forum!

Ya I'm mostly interested in talking about the "far out" views on dreaming and OBE'ing. I've been studying this stuff for awhile and am kind of past most of the beginner views or material though I don't mind putting my opinion in on a post on a subject that I've discussed a thousand times with other dreamers. It's funny though to see the same subject posts that I used to post with such passion because I was first learning about it. Now it's like I've learned all the basics into advanced and I have to work with them and figure out what works best and so on. My future work is heading towards more practice with meditation and Astral Projection (experiments with leaving the body and looking for something that will make me more convinced that OBE is real, like take one picture out of a thousand pictures I have and not look at it and then place it somewhere in my room and when I project I'll go to it and view it to see what it is and wake myself up and see if I'm correct.) I've done this with playing cards once and it was the first time and only time I tried so far. I took one random card out and put it face up and then layed down without looking at it. Once out of body I walk over to it and look at it and it was the 8 of clubs. I wake myself up and look at the card and it was the 8 of clubs. Pretty trippy experience because it was my first try at it and got it right. I had a 1 in 52 chance so it's still not fool proof so that's why I need to experiment with other stuff so the odds of it happening doesn't get in the way.
Anyways I'm down to talk about the deeper aspects of dreaming or more advanced aspects.
