      Heart Beats Fast?

Hey guys, just signed up today but I have been looking around this website a while...I also know a good amount of stuff about lucid dreaming but I have one question...

When ever i attempt to have a lucid dream or just lay in bed and attempt maybe a nap or WBTB, my heart starts beating really fast and it is really hard to relax. Its not sleep paralysis or anything because its when i first lay in bed and I just can't seem to relax or get in that half asleep/ dreamy state.

Any tips or advice on how to relax easier would be helpful.. Thanks everyone.

Are you maybe getting too excited? Take deep breaths and clear your mind. I recommend using binaural beats to help you relax.

thanks and Binaural beats or isochronic tones? I heard that isochronic tones are easier for your brain to get entrainedand take less time to get the same effect....

this occasionally happens to me too, and of course concentrating on it makes it worse.
I have a feeling your general state of mind MAY be the problem. you need to do some breathign exersises to calm you nervous system, deep full breaths through the nose does more then most medications can do!

of course the alternative is to concentrate on the beat in a positive way, after all, though it may be loud and kinda freaky at first, it becomes comforting, conencting with the organ that keeps you alive can only be good!

Slow down your breathing. Try this: http://www.dreamviews.com/f41/99-bre...ng-mind-58032/

Well I never heard of isochronic tones, but judging from what various users say on this fourms, I would suggest Binaural beats.

Neither do anything in terms of your ability to lucid dream.
