Welcome to the forums. Be patient with lucid dreaming. Keep a dream journal every day. Pick one technique. Stick to it. Don't give up.

      Good luck!

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind as I have a friend that has done it for a few days and a dream journal helps him.
I haven't had a dream so far that I've had control over, mostly just being aware, but unable to do much.

It just takes some practice. Were you lucid in this dream? Just believe that you have control.

its very strange, because most of my dreams are me doing stuff, not just sitting by a tree for no apparent reason, so say I'll be in a place I've felt like I've been to before. So I think thats real, then I see real people, and I feel like it real, not really fuzzy or anything like dreams usually are. but its also a nuisance, because I have slightly bad vision when looking at things at a distance, and my dreams are like that so it's even more convincing. but the first night i tried it, I had a dream where i forced myself to look in a mirror for no apparent reason and I had the head of a frog so that scared me, and I realized I was dreaming, but I was too scared for no reason to do anything and I lost it.

i guess i just need more calm state of mind when dreaming. also I notice that when i run really slowly, I'm dreaming, such as I've had dreams when I was young about being chased by giant spiders/bears and I couldn't outrun them. so more reality checks for me.

Look down next time you find yourself running slow. Chances are you'll see something like weights tied to your legs or some super sticky substance stuck to your shoes. Expect something to be there and there will be. Stop running, remove whatever it is that's holding you back, then start running again and you'll be much faster.

      Welcome to the forum. =D

it's strange for me also, because i woke up this morning, went back to bed, and i was still awake, but i had my heart-rate and breathing patterns very slow, so then I saw this panel, and it said Lucid dream - Start, and a progress bar was 100% done, so then i clicked it, and everything went black, i was numb, i couldn't move and i lost all hearing, so then i freaked out and woke up. i don't know why but it's just scary.

      Welcome!

Even if you don't have dream control, becoming aware of your dreaming is a big step forward. ^_^
