      Increasing my dream realism

I am from Canada and I don't speak english, and I have a bad english, but I can read english very good.
      Sorry.
      Hi all

It is necessary that I tell you something before I say my question. When I was a child, towards the age of 8-9 years, I made nyghtmare every day. And in often dreams, I knew that I dreamed, but I was not able to leave my dream. Why I dreamed Lucid? I don't know, maybe because when I am in the bed, I always say to me '' You will not do nyghtmare''... until I fall sleep. But the point is, my dream was so realist, as true of the reality!. The visual, the song, the touch, all !!!

Now, I have no dream (or no memory) for abour 7 -8 year (I'm 17). And when I dream one, its not realist as before, its fuzzy, its resembling just if I have memory in real life or look one film at my tv.. It unreal, I do not have any feeling. Its empty. I feel as a specator of something.

Yesterday, I have visit for the fist time the forum of this site and I have realized that we can control our dream. Also that the dreams of people is realist as the reality. Then I decide to try to have my dreams realist for live this feeling. And of course, I will try to do Lucid Dream. But my priority for now, is to be able to live my dreams as the reality. But I do not believe that I will succeed one time. Yesterday, I have begun to say in the day a lot of ''Am I dreaming?'' and I have also begun my dream newspaper. Last night, I have do 3 dreams! Its incredible! But the dreams have not change in the realist, too bad.

I hope I will be able to make dreams realist. I have see in the faq to us sens a lot in the day. But do you have other advise for me.

      Thanks

      Dear Utherold,

I wish my French was as good as your English. It was quite understandable.

Anyway, you want your Dreams to be more realistic. They were realistic when you were younger, but then they were nightmares.

This is what I think happened... you wanted to put some distance between yourself and your nightmares and so you began to blur your dreams, to make them like an old film or a memory. You made them seem indirect. An indirect nightmare is no longer a nightmare.

I think to get the reality of your Dreams to return, you must also accept the nightmares. So when you suggest suggestions to yourself, do not suggest that your dreams seem more real. what you should suggest to yourself is "Bring on the Nightmares!" Be willing to accept the nightmares.

Yes, nightmares are a problem in themselves, but they represent problems that can be worked on and worked through.

      Bonne chance!

      Thanks for the respond.

I think you have write, I have in some way put some distance between me and my nightmares when I was younger. But now that I am older, the nightmares dont afraid me anymore. Do you think that its automatic in my head? I hope I will can repair what I have do. I'm not afraid about nightmares now, but if I'm doing all to have nightmares with MILD, maybe It will be more realistic. Well, I am going this night try to have some nightmares, hope that I will not be afraid if I succed. And hope its just that. Do someone have the same problem?

Hello Utherold! I am glad that you joined us here at DV (Dream Views).

Sometimes I do not remember my dreams very well because I do not focus on them. They are not as important. But when I focus on my dreams and choose to remember them, not only does my ability to remember them get better but the dreams often get more vivid and detailed. Maybe you just need to work on building your dream recall, and it sounds like you are doing a good job of it already

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. I hope that I was helpful!

I'm back of my night, a very bad night.

I have make my alarm five hour after I'm in bed, because I wented to try Vild method for have nightmare. But before that, I had to sleep five hours. But the problem is, I was to anxious, and I cannot be unconscious because of that. So my body wented to sleep with my conscience on. I have begined to sens a lot of vibrations in my head. But I dont went make a WILD, because I am to afraid of that. So each time I have a vibration, I open my eyes to stop the progress in the hope that one time, I will be uncouscious. But the problem is, I never sleep before 6 hours of open/close eyes. I have do some litle dream, but again, its just like a memory.

Does someone have advise for being uncouscious when you cant?

      Thank for the help

I'm having a little bit of trouble understanding you sometimes but I think I understand most of it. When you are trying to WILD, don't be afraid of it. All that you are doing is going from being awake to being in a dream. There's nothing unnatural about it. It happens every night when you go to sleep, but the difference is that you are conscious when it happens and aware of what is going on. Have you read the tutorial on how to WILD?

Just don't worry. You'll be fine
