      I'm not sure....

Hey guys, new member here !

So I've been recently trying to enter a lucid dream these past few nights. I'm not sure whether or not I'm entering SP. I feel like my legs begin to get very tense and it usually just stops there. When I feel it, my heart also begins to beat very fast and I get anxious . I also feel like my body is sinking into my bed and gravity is acting harder than normal. Again, this only happens to my legs and
I can't seem to have my whole body feel this way.

Also, im unsure if I'm supposed to have my eyes open or closed when attempting to get into SP.

Lastly, what should I do when i finally have SP?

      Thanks

Hey there, first of all welcome to DV

One thing that may be stopping you, when you say you get anxious and your heart beats really fast? This may be you getting excited about SP, one thing that can cut out SP is you thinking too much or getting excited. Try to relax and not think about your body at all.

Have your eyes closed, it'll help you relax and enter SP quicker id say.
When you have SP, just let it take you for a ride, go with the flow and soon you will be in a dream.

      Good luck!

De ja vu, have I seen this? haha.
Ok... I'll put it here as well, try not to double post
I also get very anxious at this stage, it's quite hard not to, just relax and try not to be too worried.
If you are new to lucid dreaming, don't be put off by failing WILDs, they are the hardest technique.
Deficiently have you eyes closed, although your eye movement doesn't affect you too much, it would be easier to just keep them closed.
Some people don't feel SP when they attempt to WILD, they just get hit by the transition and get into the dream, so I don't think you should worry about it.
Are you doing WBTB (4.5 or 6 hours after sleep), you need to if not.
      Anything else, just ask

      Sorry about the double post

Also, when you say to just let it take me, that will most likely be when I fall asleep right?

If not , what does it feel like when you jump from SP to a dream?

You will indefinetly feel the transition. It's something between a split second of a scene transitioning around you, and a sucked-into-portal feeling.
Hard to explain, but you will understand, young dreamer.
When you fall into a dream/hit SP, you do not fall asleep, Your body does.

      Hi Dreaam! Welcome to Dreamviews!

At what time were you attempting to go into SP? Was it right before bed or in the middle of the night? If you are doing it right before bed, it is NOT recommended. It is very hard to get into SP right before bed and you should be doing a WBTB.

It sounds like your are about to enter SP, but not quite in it yet. Like Arch said, some people don't even notice that they are in SP, and it just become a dream! Yes, you should have your eyes closed when trying to get into SP. I was also very confused about that when I first heard about WILDing too. Read my WILD guide for more information about what to do once you get into SP

      Good luck!

So I read Mancon's guide, and one question that I had was if I would experience HH when my eyes are closed ?

Yes you would. When you are WILDing you are tricking your body into falling asleep. To do that you need to act like you're asleep. When you're sleeping do you have your eyes opened or closed while you are sleeping? Closed, obviously so during the WILD your eyes should be closed the entire time.
