      Introducing Raijin

Just thought it might be a good idea to intorduce myself to the forums and say hi to everyone. I have had a couple of lucid dreams before but am not a regular by any means. I will be focussing primarily on DEILD and am currently in the process of improving my dream recall. Only been on it a couple of days but going well, just need it to pick up a bit more. Tonight I have decided to use some autosuggestion to improve recall as autosuggestion usually works pretty well for me.

I am really looking forward to exploring the world of dreams and the inner workings of my subcounscous mind, but I lack consistency and dedication, even towards things that I really want, so hopefully becoming an active member of the forums will help me out and keep me motivated.

If your dream recall is very good, you can try DEILD, but i've heard its quite difficult for beginners. MILD and DILD is great for beginners. Now, that doesnt mean that you cant try it, some people say its easy as well.

Thanks for the advice, I have read that a lot, and I will most certainly be trying WILD as well. But in the past the only success I have ever had with LDing has come from DEILD, seems to work quite well for me if I wake up in the early morning, I have always thought it looks and seems to be the simplist method, and the most convenient too, as opposed to waking in the middle of the night and loosing sleep. Although to maximise potential to have an LD I think I will try and dedicate some time to WILD too

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Like he said, DEILD is a pretty tricky technique. Now you can try it by all means. But just don't get discouraged when it doesn't work. It would be a better idea to practice DILD or MILD as they are a bit easier to do. Now it's not a bad thing at all that you are practicing DEILD. It could possibly help you with WILDS in the future. It also is a great way to chain lucid dreams together in one night! It's called a DEILD chain and you just perform the DEILD when you wake up from an LD. With this you can have multiple lucid dreams a night. Also if you want some motivation, just know that the dream world is a playground for your mind. Anything is possible!

Keep at it and you will get there. Good luck!

once you get the hang of it, it'll be the best~ Autosuggestion is great too!
And regarding consistency and patience, motivation, etc. This forum is great for that if you have any questions feel free to PM me, or ask here

      Hi Raijin! Welcome to Dreamviews!

Glad you're focusing on your recall first. A lot of people just jump right into trying to get lucid without working on their dream recall. So good job! DEILD is a good technique. Good luck with the autosuggestions, I hope you get more lucids soon! I hope to see you around on the forums too and become an active member. You can PM me if you have any questions at all, good luck again!
