Lucid Dreams are the only Dreams I have

stumbled on to this site by accident, i was researching an adverse effect of a medication (Nexium) was dream disturbance. wanted to know what is dream distrubances. Great site.

I have always be able to control every aspects of my dreaming reality, when I am dreaming i am fully aware that nothing around me is real, but it goes alot further that that, I control the physical environment around me, gravity, sunlight, move objects at will. I also know where I am sleeping.

I could of never understand how someone could not know that they are dreaming.

I had a dream once, which was so real that I almost took it for reality. In the dream it was afternoon and it had a lot of visiters at my home. but I was like I think this is a dream, so i began to asked one of the guess there two question, What day is it? and he said, " its friday. I taught ok its friday. But i still was not convinced. So I said what is the date, he looked at me like if i was joking but he still answered my question it the 7th. I said ok its that's correct also. but I was so convinced that this was a dream that I just had to ask what year is it. And that is when he made the mistake. he said that is was 1975. ok then I said this is a dream its suppose to be 1995.

I don't get alarmed when I have a lucid dream, is the ones that i can't control that scares the shit out of me

      Wow! It's absolutely awesome!
Tell us more about your lucid dreaming experience. Do you fly in your dreams? Have you been lucid in all your dreams since you were born (or since you remember)?

When I dream, the initial environment is not chosen by me, but once i am there I could control the things that goes on.

Yes I fly in my dreams but that is so normal that i don't do it all the time.
I think I had lucid dreams to a pointwhen is was small, I knew i was dreaming but could not control it but i could of wake myself up by shouting my name and saying Wakeup over and over again.

I would like anyone has lucid dreams to reply if this ever happen to you.

      1. Had a dream about the girl of my dreams ( could not put anyother way ). I knew i was dreaming, but she did not know it was a dream. So in the dream I told her it was a dream, and that I was dreaming, and she was like how could this be, and she was real sad and I was sad.

the question is Have you ever told anyone in your dream that you were dreaming

      2. Did you ever tried to read anything in your dream, I was told it was impossible. I tried and i could not do it. I knew what the sign was but to actually read it, like see each letter i could not.
My friend challenged me to read something in my dream, I said ok i will, he looked at me like if I was going mad because he ment it to be a joke.
that very night I dreamt I was exploring My village when I felt that i was forgeting something, I stod there for a while saying, I had to so someting, what is the thing i have to do, then I remembered. I had to try to read something, so i went to the nearest sign and began to try to read it, I knew what the sign was supose to say but i could not see the words it was all jumbled up and i could not make it out .

      1) In my experience, most dream characters that you tell that you are dreaming will either flat out call you a liar, or will look at you like they don't understand what you just said and try to convince you (and themselves) that they are real.

      2) I've read plenty of things in my dreams (you'll also hear of a lot of people here who have dreams about coming to the forums and reading things on the website). It's possible to read in your dreams, but it's often hard to do. I remember one case, in particular, when I was reading a book during a lucid dream. I would read about 2 paragraphs and then I would lose my place. When I'd go back to re-read what I'd read, I noticed that the text would change. It would still be legible, but it would be about a completely different subject than what I was reading about, only seconds before.

Most things that people say are impossible in dreams (which are physically possible in real life, like reading, turning on lights or using technology) are possible. Sometimes they just give most people trouble. However, most of the time, you will find many people who can do them quite easily.

I don't think i could teach people how to have lucid dreams, but I will give some pointers of things i remember. It comes natural to me. before I found this site I taught i was the only one who had these experences. or was intrested in them.

my mind is over active, and even when I am asleep I am awake. I question everything always wanting to know how things work and why do i need to do that. mabe that is one of the reasons the I can have lucid dreams. So Thats my frist advice, question everything and look for answers. e.g. If i walk into a room, naturally I see everything or everyone around me and for fun, if I am waiting in a place that has a lot of mirrors or glass panels, I try to make out what is a reflection from what is not.

if i am very tired I would not be able to sleep, my mind would be working overtime. The period when you just fall asleep, or you're about to fall asleep, I would see people, hear voices and relive pices of my day in vivid details. this would go on for long time before I actually fall aslep. I would even get this weird feeling that something bad is about to happen, but during that state is when I get the most trouble to wake myself. So to conteract that and to actually get some kind or rest, I have to put on some (slow gospel music) yes i go to church, as a distraction so that my mind could focus on one thing so I could fall asleep.

Now that's Crazy!!!!! but it works everytime.
