Thread: WILD-hypnologic imagery

Yeah, hypnogogic imagery does exist. You've probably experienced it before, and just didn't realize it. have you ever been thinking about something while you were almost asleep, and the images in your mind got all weird and out of control? That's what happens to me when I experience HI.

Pay attention to your thoughts the next time you go to sleep and see what happens.

Yeah hypnogogic imagery and sounds can be quite exhilarating...however I differentiate the random thoughts that just sort of occur as you are falling asleep from HI. When you lay down to go to sleep you begin to think of things, then your thoughts sort of turn into nonsense...then from there you sort of slip out of consciousness and that is when the HI starts. HI is different from normal thoughts, because it is actually like...hallucinating! I have seen some of the weirdest, most amazing colorful things during HI...and I have heard some very cool and very distrubing things as well. It's a neat place to chill for awhile. You probably won't be able to get there at night when you are falling asleep b/c the brain and body sort of want to just shut down...you are in a different state of mind. But if you try to do a WILD...you will definitely be able to get to hypnogogia.

That's the perferct way to describe it. It's so incredibly like hallucinating.
