First, read a great deal of the posts from the people who do begin to have Lucid Dreams. Most of the time they come to nothing, and their Higher Dream Mind only turns against them with the strategy of presenting False Awakenings. What can we infer from this? Well, that in most cases Lucid Dreaming is being used pathologically -- that Lucid Dreaming is doing more harm than good.

This should not always be the case. Most Lucid Dreamers achieve Lucidity and then go immediately into action to destroy all of their Dreams. We should all consider that our Dreams are Created by a Higher Intelligence for some special purpose in our lives and the lives of All Beings, and that they should not be destroyed by some insane Control simply because people suddenly yield this fatal power.

So, what is the purpose of Lucid Dreaming? Well, if we are aware that we are dreaming when we are dreaming, then we can infer a very important factor, and that is that we are beyond death or harm. This can infuse our choices with an almost absolute Bravery. Also, knowing that we are dreaming, we know that we have a greater range of choices even regarding the capabilities of our own bodies, our own persons. We can fly. We can check our wallets for money. We can consult our Dream Memory to examine how our Dream Selves may differ from our waking selves (and there is a Vast Difference if one ever consults one's dream memory to see what one has been recently doing with one's Dream Life. Our Dream Selves quite have their own complicated lives with their own complicated set of personal agendas, which it would help us to understand). Lucidity gives us an opportunity to make informed dream choices. That should be enough. Instead Lucidity is used as a weapon of destruction.

Anyway, if Lucidity is remaining aloof, then why not accept that you are not ready for Lucidity yet. so spend the time working on your dreams. Can you fly? Have you been killed and then risen up -- demonstrating Dream Deathlessness. Honestly, until you've faced your monsters, been killed by them, and then realize your survival, Lucidity has little value. The chief value of Lucidity lies in clueing one to one's Deathlessness, to enable that absolute fearlessness. Then there are the Spiritual Quests which do not necessarily require Lucidity. Establish a Spiritual Goal for your Dreams, and bombard yourself with suggestion to achieve those ends.

What will then happen is that you will become Lucid in order to achieve these other purposes. it happens all the time with myself. I suggest that I would like to try a certain Mantra or Prayer, or find the abode of a certain Angel or Saint. So I start a regimen of suggestions to achieve such goals. Well, the Higher Mind does the best that it can and I miss one dream opportunity after the next, but then, eventually, I go Lucid and I remember "Oh yes, I wanted to do this and that and all of this other stuff" and so I do what I had planned -- in the midst of the Dream Action I say such and such a prayer, or intone such and such a Mantra, or evoke a Holy Name. It is Lucidity used with a purpose, which is used in conjunction with a Dream Higher Mind that is cooperating along for the same ends. I never have False Awakenings.

Decide what you want to do with your dreams, and look for guidance and direction from the Dreams that you do have. And don't get sucked into Lucidity for the sake of Lucidity -- for the sake of destroying honest dream content for the sole purpose of pumping up one's pride in the performance of mere lucid dreaming parlor tricks.
