Hi all!
My name is Duncan, and as you can see I am new here, I just wanted to say a quick hello to the community and speak a little of myself and what I hope to gain from this forum. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

First of all I have only just recently committed to lucid dreaming, I have managed to enter a few in the past but never really gave it 100% effort. Now I am ready as my desire / motivation is higher then ever, I have some goals which I am working toward.

My current view on lucid dreaming is that it is an amazing tool which can be used to solve many problems. Be they creative, personal, skill based etc. I do not personally believe in 'beyond dreaming' mainly because I have no reason to believe at this point in time. Of course I am open to anything though!

I aim to utilise mainly DILD techniques to gain lucidity as I work a tight schedule and do not wish to disrupt my sleeping patterns as much is possible. I will be seaching the forums for experienced dreamers guides and techniques to expand on my basic knowledge, ultimately I wish to be able to lucid dream at will (don't we all?) However I understand this will probably take a lot of work.

Aside from willful lucidity some of my goals include:

Solve some personal issues
Enhance creativity
Improve memory
Practising things like sketching and sports
Create amazing scenarios
Learn more about myself
Further meditation endeavours
Explore scientific questions

On a more personal note, I study industrial design in Wellington NZ, love to unicycle and enjoy pondering the (currently) unanswerable things about life. Im pretty relaxed and can't wait to meet some more of you!

After my two weeks are up I will be seeking an adopter, so if you are interested, send me a PM, I'd love that!

Yours Dreamily,
Duncan

P.s I started a thread in the research sub-forum (How small is small?) as my first post but I decided to come here and do things properly. I would also love any feedback on this thread if anyone feels like it but no pressure! (I just get really excited about the possibilities of lucidity!)

Cheers
