Newbie to the terms/site, not to lucid dreams

I have been lurking around the net for ages poking around into lucid dreams, and other dream related events, but never actually joined a community where disusing them was considered normal. In fact to this day I only know of 2 people I can talk to about my crazy dreams, with out getting stared at, and being told "I have no idea what to tell you," even though they practically sit indian style while I tell them stories from my mind.

Thing that always drags me back to looking up new info is a dream series I refer to as the "mystery girl dreams." Basically for the last 7 years or so I have had vivid dreams I couldn't get out of my head for days with a recurring female character. the girls image always fades quickly from my head while the rest is practically etched into stone, but I have had several were with out a doubt I decided in my dream that that is the same women, typically some time before I wake up.

Anyways it seems after a recent new slew of them there is a rather loose connection to all them, recently I had a dream with a girl similar to her, not positive it is with a women named Gwenda, the name was actually spelled out in my head for some reason which is weird since typically I can't read or at least never tried to in my dreams. Dream was real fuzzy minus the girls face, and the name. I woke up and dove straight back into dream land trying to recreate the women in my dreams, and got stuck into a insane spiral of dreams in a dream, had at least 4 false a wakings, and in one I told myself "I can only do things I have experienced."

This message stuck in my head and then while brainstorming for an essay it all came crashing together. It connected several dots, not all mind you in my mystery girl series dreams. I had one that was part of a 4 part mini series where I met a girl who I later was convinced was a candidate for the mystery girl. In the last part I rode a school bus of all random things with her to a house that I owned in the dream. The school bus always confused me till I thought about it and realized I never rode a city bus even though I have thought about it multiple times, as far as I could tell that was my brain grabbing the next best thing to continue the story.

After this quite a few oddities seemed to pan out, as basically space fillers since my mind had to grasp straws for vivid models, and I mean vivid, I could do everything but smell in my dreams, or at least I never bothered trying to remember smells... so its reasonable that part of me that pieced the dream together had to improvise in case I touched, tasted, etc anything.

The one exception to this conclusion was the dream that started it all, causing me to classify these random dreams into a collective even though they spanned over years. The second or possibly first dream I had with the girl, memory is fuzzy on which came first, was many years ago and had a high stress life after high school. Due to lack of a better explanation the dream wasn't mine. Not a single thing was recognizable, it was a fancy park surrounded by streets and buildings in a big city, I live in the desert so are parks are grass with a couple of trees, this had a lot of trees that would be horrible to grow in the heat.

It started with a family as happy as could be playing in the park, I was standing back watching them, as they interacted in front of me, and after a little while they all posed and I apparently was looking through a view finder on a camera, a camera I had no idea I was using. As the view finder went down the family was gone, and in front of me a lone girl stood watching me. She said "you saw it, you really saw it didn't you." It was a statement more then question she could tell I was freaked out of my mind.

She explained it was her memory, that her family played in the park, and was excited, almost jumping up for joy that I saw the event through the camera. we talked for a bit a bit fuzzy on details, was in complete shock still. We then went across the street, the park was surrounded by generic tall buildings like something out of a movie in New York. As we crossed the street, I found out I was wearing socks, and no shoes the hard way, my feet quickly got very hot on the asphalt, and I did a little goofy dance while hopping across the the crosswalk. She laughed at me, then stopped in serious shock. "You can really feel that can't you?"

"Of course I can, its freaking hot and I got no shoes," by the time I got to hot, I realized what I just said. Part of me knew this was a dream, but I never really said it out loud in my head, it was the first dream I ever felt anything yet alone burning hot asphalt. She grabbed me by the arm and dragged me down the street, trying to calm me down, excited like a little girl with a new puppy on Christmas morning. At this point I realized I could feel her on my arm, I could feel her hand, and her hair touching me as she leaned against me; I was completely overwhelmed.

Being a typical boy straight out of high school who realized I could feel in a dream, I decided to test how much I could really feel. I stopped and when she paused to see what was wrong I brushed my hand on her face, and she blushed. I swallowed for courage then went in for a kiss; I woke up fast, and tried several times to go back to the park, had a dream close to it, but the girl never came back that day.

Since that dream I have made mental notes, and even written down quite a few dreams. Last count I had was 8 lucid dreams with incredible likeness to that girl spread out over 7+ years. And a whole slew of other unrecorded lucid dreams I chucked up to watching to much tv, and never bothered recording. Not even in dreams where I seemed to have a fair bit of control I never had any of her, which drew my fascination even more about her, especially after my first round with tinkering with lucid dreams using methods I read online... Basically its these dreams I kind of lumped into a mental loosely written records that keeps me coming back to the net for more knowledge every few months.

The girl always has the same personality although for awhile after my failed attempt to kiss her, she was very timid, and I even suspect a few characters of being her trying to disguised herself, and slip under my radar. The girl seems to be along for the ride or watching me in almost all of them, like a sidekick of sorts. Which is why I don't connect the characters to her till the end or after I wake up, just feels natural having her a long, even though she only appears in maybe 1 out 6 lucid dreams that I can notice. I have never once controlled her in a dream including one where I had control over everything and literally dragged her out of thin air into it.

Most my lucid dreams even though I know there not real, I simply go along for the ride. Typically the character I play is nothing like me. Some relate to things I thought about or something I watched and some are so crazy writing them down is the only way to get them out of my head, and doing so creates a pretty incredible adventure story. Typically they are middle chunks of some crazy story my mind creates, the character I play seems to know what happened before but I do not. The pieces just come to me as needed, had one complete with movie style mental flashbacks to explain things so I wouldn't break character.

PS The mystery girl series is made up of all walks of dreams, from the I watched too much anime before bed fantasy dreams, to the realistic you don't know for a while kind.
