      New to The Dream World

Hi, I didn't think much of this stuff before, but I happened to have this crazy dream earlier that made me think otherwise. I passed out laying on my couch and as I stared at the wall it suddenly became a dark room, so I'm not really sure when I fell asleep. But the room seemed like a dimly lit apartment, It didn't dawn on me for a little while that I was dreaming till I saw a jump in the corner of my eye. I have no clue what it was, for a second I was going to shrug it off, but it just bothered me suddenly I felt scared and it was just an overall weird feeling and I can't really explain the rest very well. I suppose it was a moment of realization or something, but the room started to bounce and shake and these covers flew up off a bed and I could feel my eye lids twitching which I figured was the reason the dream went haywire. But the feeling of being in two places at once was just something like I've never felt before and I had to find out how to get another taste, so here I am.

My first few experiences were really short. (In fact all of them have been short)

I thought it was really cool though, because I was convinced that I didn't dream at all. People would talk about dreams but I figured they were for other people but not for me. I had never remembered anything in my life except for some things from when I was very very young (like, preschool, kindergarten age) and I had assumed I was remembering some story I made up.

Anyway, don't let the "help I can't do it" threads get you down. Those people are just quitters!

      Hi there my friend,
Glad to have you here in DV. The feeling of being in 2 places(dream world and reality) at once is pretty natural inside a dream. It's probably a dream stabilization issue since you can still feel the outside world. Anyways, welcome and good luck in your journey to lucid dream
