Best forums to follow just starting out?

Hello everyone,

I signed up on dreamviews a year ago but never got active in the forums, unfortunately. I'm definitely going to get more involved in the future

but I was wondering, (because there are a LOT of forums to choose from) which forums are the best to participate in as a newbie? Obviously the Newbie forum, yes, but maybe also the Sleep and Health one, or one for reality checks and dream recall? I may also lurk on some of the more advanced forums, too, to get inspired.

Just so you know basically where I'm at: until a year and half ago I barely dreamed at all. I've drastically improved my dream recall to the point where I can remember a couple of dreams a night if I get enough sleep (college and sleep don't go together, haha). However, I have gotten nowhere with lucidity since my 3 lucid dreams last school year.

So you say you've already had lucid dreams? You've got the basics down, then. Any questions you have about getting lucid more frequently you could probably post in, as you said yourself, the Newbie Zone. As soon as you've gotten back on your feet you might want to check out General Lucid Discussion for slightly more advanced questions/scenarios. If you need help with manipulating stuff in your dreams, head on down to the Dream Control forums.

Finally, if you have experiences to share, we'd love to hear you talk about them in either a Dream Journal or the Lucid Experiences forum. As soon as you've gotten everything down and want to put your skills to the test, feel free to try the Task of the Month, a subforum also located in the Lucid Experiences forum.

To be honest, all forums are good.

I like to backup the experiences of other people with knowledge of lucid dreaming news, book suggestions, discussions. I read about hot topics in lucidity or control because you always learn something valuable. Not to mention that reading successful oneironauts dream journals can keep you motivated.

I highly suggest taking a peak into the DV's academy and try to find out the best method for you ^^

You aren't restricted to only a few of the forums. Go crazy, post in all of them, even if you just want to say "that's cool, can't wait to do that when I get more experienced." Your best bet would be attaining lucidity or lucid experiences, I guess.
