Newly recognized ability to control dreams?

      Hey everyone!

I am 27, within the last 6 months I somehow am able to dream every night and control all of my actions, even after waking up and falling back asleep. I am not aware I am dreaming until I force myself to open my eyes just to make sure I am still in bed, but after doing so, I resort right back into the dream. None of these dreams are sexual or bad, but when I am dreaming I can do everything from drive automobiles, grocery shop, run, anything, and I somehow control everything? My REM cycles are obviously long and in depth, wake up with a ton of eye crust every morning. It's just been a weird transitition, just wandered if anyone else has experienced this?

P.S. I am not crazy or anything, have a Masters Degree, just has been weird, any suggestions would be helpful!

Uhm a ton of people here are probably verrrrrrrrryyyyyyy envious of you! Since you lucid dream every night, that's a lucky thing. Utilize this my friend! Don't worry about it! Some people just have a more natural ability for this. What have you done different within the last 6 months?

Certainly doesn't mean you're crazy. I attempted a second life through lucid dreaming once and it worked out well. In your situation, it's done unintentionally. The fact that you can lucid dream daily is incredible. I say use it to your potential. How much dream control do you have? I know most of us change the setting (open a door and go to a beach ect.) and the world around us. Do you do the same?

Also when you say you force yourself to wake up to see if you were dreaming, do you actually make sure you're awake and not having a false awakening? They can feel exactly the same. How vivid are the dreams? Less than, the same as, or more detailed than real life?

Everyone here is going to have a love hate relationship with you haha
