I'm New and I'd like to Share

I lucid dream about once every two weeks and have lately become more curious about the phenomenon. My Sleep schedule is erratic. I'm a soldier so I wake up around 5:30 PM on weekdays. I know that I used to lucid dream more frequently as a child. This is where I share my story. When I was around the age of 10 my parents and I watched Jurassic Park before going to bed. I obviously found it pretty scary with the velociraptors eating people and went to bed shortly after the flick was over.
The following morning I had a nightmare about being chased by a Giant
T-Rex that kept getting closer and closer as I tried to run away. I
was horrified that the T-Rex was going to eat me. But, I couldn't wake up.
Now I was scared that the T-Rex was going to get me and that I'd never wake
again. So I began yelling for my mother and clawing at the walls next to my
bed. I could feel the pain from my fingernails as I scratched the walls. I was fully aware that I was dreaming. I was forced to cope with horrible vision and was unable to open my eyes. It was like someone was forcing my eyelids shut and making me watch this nightmare. After a few minutes I woke up. My throat was sore from the yelling and my fingers hurt. I've never had any problems waking from dreams since then. Does anyone know what this type of lucid dream is called? I've never met someone with a similar experience.

Once I was at somebodies house in a bunkbed with my little brother. I had a dream that someone was throwing pillows at me nonstop and I was scared, I was yelling in the dream as loud as I could, "Adam! Wake me up!! Adam! Wake me up!!" It seems alot like yours lol, in the fact that I couldn't wake up even though I wanted to. But when I woke up I was fine, I think our dreams were just lucid nightmares.

Most of us have had nightmares at some point. Apparently the way to stop the is by not running away and confronting. In other words love your dinosaur.

I can only confirm this by what I have read and not from personal experience.

When did you last watch Jurassic Park?
