      Cool Hi, Everyone.

Just wanted to stop in and say hi to everyone as I did not have the time when I signed up (was up way past my bed time). Anyway, new guy here on board You can address me by my real name, Allen, if you wish.

Anyway, a little about me/dreams. I have kept a dream journal for the last 4 years roughly and only for recall purposes only. I have always been fascinated by dreams and early on I stumbled across the idea of keeping a journal to help condition ones self to better recall their dreams, and since then, I have never stopped...and it worked by the way Now days I sleep with my Ipod Touch and record upon wakening and later transcribe to a hard copy journal.

I have only had a few dreams that were by definition "Lucid", and what a treat! Due to some health issues that set me back a few years I never really got the chance or time to pursue any information on the subject and in the long run it just escaped me. Then just recently I found the "Get Lucid" podcast through iTunes and decided to give it a listen and heard this website/forum mentioned quite frequently......and so here I am

My knowledge on Lucidity is very little, I have come across the subject quite a few times throughout the years while I studied out of body experiences but at those times my interest where in what was effecting me at those times so I never really spent much time in that area. Just scanning the site and forum, it appears many or most of you have this subject down pat and there appears to be a lot to consume here, information wise, and I am ready to understand and learn!

      Thank you,
      Allen

      Hi Allen.

4 years? Must be a large dream journal. Nice. Yes, I could record my voice and then transcribe it, but I just find it easier and faster to write it down to start with, but I guess the faster you record the dream, the less chance of forgetting details.

I am sorry you have had (and still do have?) health issues. It does make it difficult to have time for dreaming when you're busy.

So you have had natural lucid dreams. That's lucky. I remember thinking a year ago, that there was an overwhelming amount of information to learn... there was. And I do still consider myself uneducated. Luckily, this site is a good source of information.

      Welcome to Dream Views.

Thanks for your reply Aurata, and the welcome

Rather a large collection of journals LOL. I used to record by voice but I found disturbing the wife was not that great of an idea lol so I now short hand it into a dream journal app on my Ipod for later transcribing, only because I have so little time in the morning to do much else. And i happen to be one of those that loses all recall as soon as the cover comes off lol.

And yes I have had a few naturals, the cool part is after reading some of the basics I can clearly see that one of my lucid dreams was invoked with the WILD technique Already learning much.......now to see if I can produce these without luck!

      Again thanks for the welcome
