Keep having some reaally bizarre dreams!

Keep having some really bizarre dreams! Some of them I know I'm dreaming and can change them about if it gets too much as they're normally quite disturbing. I tend to like some macabre things anyway- bit strange I know- so I can handle alot of disturbing things, but sometimes they go past the line I have on whats scary. I just have no idea why? I have been very stressed for the past year, and I have manic depression? Is that why?

Like, last nights dream was, I was the devils daughter and he told me I had to go around the underworld, and send certain demons to the torture part of hell, or something? And so I went to send the first two demons to wherever, and they obviously weren't happy, and started a fight, threw some fireball on a chain at me, and then I was suddenly able to change what I was able to do, such as, fly. I knew I was dreaming the whole time, was so strange! But pretty cool at the same time!

Sometimes the images I'm thinking of get a bit much, and I try to wake myself up, but I cant! I'm trying and trying! but nothing! I sometimes even feel my body spasm out, from me trying to wake myself up, but Im still asleep?! any suggestions of why this could be happening?

A lot of what you dream about is what you're thinking about before you sleep, so if you're freaking out about the dreams before you sleep, you'll most likely get them again- creating a nice little circle of events.
You may be trying too hard when you're attempting to wake yourself up. If you catch yourself in a dream, take a few deep breaths, and if you don't like the current dream, spin around and almost always that'll change it into something else.
Something you can try is incubatin, the technique that works the best for most people is VILD

I hope this helped, and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
      Good luck!

It has been worse when I've been thinking about whether I'm gonna have a bad one or not, so I'll just try relaxing before I go to sleep. Oo I've read through that, sounds good, I'll try that tonight and post an update! Thanks!

What I suggest, since it is a dream anyway, is to soak it all in, however scary it might be, just stand it and see if you get these dreams afterwards.
