      Introduction

Hello im just making my introduction onto the forums, im a man of few words so this will be short

I am a 19 year old college student from England, interested in films, philosophy, psychology, art, occultism, im pretty quiet, unassertive and rather nervous.

I have been able to lucid dream since about a year and a half, I am not complety great at lucid dreaming but I am pretty good, I also OBE sometimes though find it hard to stay in control.

I also have mental health issues as of about last year, from weed usage so have somewhat of a split ego or brain now, I am not schizophrenic but I did have a psychotic episode which was extremely unpleasant, I now find it harder to deal with the world and with reality on occasions and can be paranoid around people, but I can cope well enough (albeit less productively than before my episode)

I enjoy lucid dreaming because I enjoy the escape from normal everyday living and also because of the opportunity that lucid dreaming offers to me so that I can better understand myself and get an objective insight into my mental chaos.

      Welcome to the forum!
BTW, don't feel bad about being paranoid around people...in person, I am pretty nervous around people (especially guys) myself!

paranoia is quite annoying though, especially unfounded paranoid emanating from a subconscious source. I am certainly nervous around girls as well for sure, though once I get to know a person I am quite more relaxed, mostly just a case of worrying too much.

thank you for the welcome also, I will try and contribute positively to the boards as much as I can.

It's okay...I understand how you feel! If a DV member approached me in person (besides Splash) & did not introduce themselves, I would probably run away (especially if it was a guy!)
