Did I Just Have My First Lucid Dream?!

Well, I'm not sure this is a lucid dream or not, because it didn't feel anything like real life. It just felt kind of like a hazy dream that I remembered.

I go to bed, and do my first sleep cycle, have a short dream as usual, and forget it. I then go back to sleep, and I start a dream. I only remember the part before I may have become lucid. There were a bunch of fake alligators that I was picking up, and one of them was real. I got scared and ran back to my room and closed the door behind me. I turned around to look at my door, and I could see through it, or it was open, or it was gone, one of the three. I was like "hey, I just slammed the door and I can see through it. Am I dreaming?" I then performed the breathing through nose when fingers are pinching it RC and I could breathe! I said "wow, I think I'm lucid!". I remembered how you can lose them fast, so I tried to dreamspin. This is the part that confuses me. I stood up and started spinning in really fast circles, but nothing happened. I did it twice, and nothing happened. Then I woke up.

Now the two things that make this seem like it's not lucid are :

      a) I didn't recall the dream like it was real. I also don't remember if I was in first or third person.

      B) Dreamspinning didn't work.

Was this just a normal dream that was maybe just about lucid dreaming, not an actual lucid dream?

Sound to me like it's a low level lucid dream

      CONGRATULATIONS!

Some lucid dreams don't feel very real, but don't let that discourage you, a lot of them do. With more practice and better recall, they'll feel real.

Dreamspinning doesn't allways work, again, don't let it discourage you, these things take practice.

      Congratulations gain.

wow something similar happened to me. Sometimes when i dreamspin it doesnt work. try rubbing your hands and calling out objects to appear when you are lucid , that helps alot for me.
If practice makes perfect and nobody is perfect then why practice?

Congrats. It seems like you had a low level lucid dream. You have the realization that you maybe are dreaming but it didnt boost the level of realness and so on. So you were lucid.

For the dream spinning i cant seem to get it to work either. I understand why it should work, to keep the sense of movment one need when the dream starts to fade, but i do other things that works better for me.

Thanks guys. Hopefully my next lucid dream will be a lot clearer, and I'll remember it better.
