      What time should i wake?

Hello all. As you can see, I am new to the world of lucid dreaming. I was just going to ask a few beginner questions to get me started. What time should I set my alarm clock during the night to better remember my dreams? I usually go to bed about 1 in the morning. Lately I havent been remembering ANY of my dreams. What will aid in this? Thank you in advance.

      Hi Shibby!

      Welcome on board.

Try for at least 6 hours for your alarm clock. Most dreaming takes place after about 6 hours of sleep.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

Thanks. I'll make sure I set it around that time. Another question, Lately I haven't been able to remember my dreams. Will waking up at this time and keeping a dream journal help with this?

      Dream Journal

Yes, shibby, keeping a dream journal is an excellant method of dream recall. I've been doing it for a while, and I've begun to notice definate signs in each dream, which is a good way to become lucid. Hope it helped!

      Hiya Shibby!

Another thing that may help is this. When you are lying in bed trying to go to sleep, repeat to yourself "I will wake up after I dream, and I will remember my dream". Planting this suggestion in your mind usually goes a long way toward helping you awaken after you have a dream, and remembering the details. If you do this, you may find that you don't really need the alarm clock.

well, I belive that sleeping happesn in sycles, and if you dont get enoguh sleep, you wont each REM long enough to refresh your body. You will just experince dreams in the NREM stage, and maby touch a few mintus of REM sleep....
