      Hello!

I am new to lucid dreaming, I've only been consistently doing it for a few weeks. My main sticking point is dream recall but I have been getting good results from using a voice recorder in the middle of the night and writing the dreams out during the day or before bed. I'd like to get lucid every night one day and explore and experiment in the dream state. I also love music so I'd really love to experiment with making music in my dreams.

This is a great site, great dreams everyone

that's so cool man, I'm into this idea too of experiment music making in my dreams, but I can't reach lucidity so I'm still practicing, but I have an experience with music in dreams that maybe is interesting for your experiments, I play acoustic guitar and I've always wanted to play ukulele but I've never touched or played one... but still, in one of my non lucid dreams my cousin brought one ukulele to my place and I remember trying to play it, doing chords positions with my fingers and my motor skill was so messed up that I couldn't do nothing useful 'cause I was trying to see the chords in a table of ukulele chords that we searched on the internet (inside the dream) and all the images in the internet seemed messed up too... but I tried to play its strings once or twice and the sound wasn't clear probably 'cause my brain had to simulate something it doesn't know so well... next goal: playing an acoustic guitar in my dreams 'cause my brain probably can simulate a lot better and see if my motor skills can be fully used in the dream. Good luck with your dreams man! Keep the motivation up!

      Hey amazing! Welcome to Dreamviews!

There are a few musicians around the site that also use lucid dreams to help them make music. I'm sure you will start to get more Lucids soon and reach your goal of getting lucid every night . If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Dreamviews has a great community and I hope you stick around! Good luck!

Welcome to DV It's good you have enhanced your recall, that's always necessary for LDing. Anywho, if you have some questions, don't hesitate to ask~

      Hey thanks for the responses!
Regarding the music aspect of dreams, I know for a fact my brain can do some amazing things when it comes to sound. In the first dream I've logged in my dream journal I was with my girlfriend singing along to a cover of Stairway to Heaven done by dutch singer Anouk. As far as I know Anouk has never covered that song (she has a completely different style), but the cover was perfect, her voice, the production, all exactly how Anouk would record a song.

Sounds awesome! You should somehow contact Anouk and tell her to that song xD.

      Welcome,
Recall is extremely important for lucid dreaming, so it's good your writing your dreams out. That's a cool idea to experiment with music in dreams!

I thanks for the support. I've been trying a couple of things, like to be as aware as possible, WILD and wb2b. WILDs are really difficult, I've been trying them but I became too aware that even after I decided to just go to sleep I'd lie there fully aware but not falling asleep. Annoying, so my focus lately has been to just try to fall asleep with just a little bit of awareness in the back of my mind. This has gotten me into some more trippy states but no LDs as of yet.

I wouldn't get too worked up about WILDs, I suck at them too, the effort required for some people to achieve WILDs can probably equal the effort of mastering DILDs. IMO.
