      Hello there!

      Hello there!

As you can see from my join date I'm new here. You guys can call me Fractal because fractals fascinate me, but mostly because it's my username.

Anyway, as I mentioned I'm new here, but I'm not new to Lucid Dreaming - and I had my first Lucid Dream when I was about 10 or 11 years old. I remember I had played Max Payne at the time, and therefore summoned a "Colt Commando" to destroy a monster that was out to get me.

I hate that Lucid Dreaming isn't common knowledge, because most people don't believe it and I didn't even know that the phenomenon had a name until a couple of years ago.

I don't know why but I forgot about Lucid Dreaming a while back, but now I'm back stronger than ever. I even bought myself a proper huge Dream Journal to keep me motivated, and I do RCs regularly as well as cognitive memory exercises. I started about three days ago, and I've remembered about 5 dreams already! It's weird because I didn't remember ANY at all when I didn't have the intention to.

If there's one thing I want to achieve in life it's mastering Lucid Dreaming.

I'm glad this site is here so that all of us can communicate, and I hope I'll be able to contribute to the whole once I get more experienced!

I am always frustrated that lucid dreaming is not more well known. Whenever I raise the subject, people just tell me their dream, like they want me to interpret it.

Welcome to the site! Fractals are pretty cool. I like your avatar.

Going to sleep with the intent to remember your dreams really does help. Whenever I'm lazy and forget to remember my dreams, it's like I don't have any at all.

      Welcome to DreamViews Fractal!

I've been lucid dreaming since I was a kid too. I remember how frustrating it was when I told a friend that I knew I was dreaming while dreaming, and she didn't believe me. I didn't know it had a name either until I searched "dream control" on google after having a lucid dream, wanting to master the technique too. Dreamviews was first on the list, and I haven't turned back since!

Good job on starting the dream journal. As you can see already, it works really well for recall. If you want to know more about the various ways one can attain lucidity, you can read about the different techniques here: Induction Techniques
I like DILD and DEILD myself. Alot of beginners start with MILD.

Anyway, have fun browsing the site, and never hesitate to ask me a question if you need some direction.
      Happy Dreaming!

Exactly what happens over here too! However, I was lucky to find a couple of people in my presence who have had lucid dreams. I suppose we have to cope with the fact Lucid Dreaming sounds so incredible it seems impossible.

      Thanks!

I suppose the intention and auto-suggestion is doing wonders just like you said.

Thanks! I must be a natural or something because I just succeeded WILDing this morning! I've been trying every day. This time it was really easy as I remembered to keep still after waking up so I fell asleep really fast. I didn't think I'd manage a WILD this soon. It's only been three days.

Thanks! Well, I woke up and immediately closed my eyes with the intention to WILD. In a matter of what felt like seconds I was suddenly standing in front of a metal door. Unfortunately, even though I took my time to do stabilization techniques and RCs I lost control of the dream. I noticed a robot humanoid was trying to follow me through the door so I decided to barricade it, but it wasn't enough so I kept on running and setting traps in my footsteps. I was so caught up in it that after a while I forgot I was dreaming - I hate that! Haha.

That's cool man. I get caught up in my lucids sometimes and they become, or very nearly become nonlucid.

      All in all, well done!
