Hi and welcome!
What you first need to do, is to improve your recall. If you can't recall your dreams it doesn't matter if you get lucid. Do that by always writing down your dreams when you wake up in the form of keywords. If you can't recall anything then lie perfectly still and relax. Soon the dreams will come to you as your body thinks you're falling back asleep. WILD should also always be done during either a nap or a WBTB (4.5, 6 or 7 hours into sleep).
Doing Reality Checks is a good way to start improving your awareness, which lucid dreaming is all about. Just keep it up with those and focus on your recall for now.
Keep on dreaming!
