you have come to a wonderful place there is never a lack of people to talk to on the subject of LDing. If you need any help just ask. |

Hey, I'm an 18 year old male headed off to Boston University to study psychology and music. After my language and composition teacher mentioned in class this year that she previously kept a dream journal, I started my own. Now I've become increasingly interested in consciousness and lucid dreaming to the point where I've purchased some books. I started reading "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" by Stephen LaBerge and decided I should supplement my journey into the world of lucid dreaming by joining a forum of like-minded individuals. Those truly interested in dreams on this level sometimes feel few and far between in my younger social setting, so hopefully that lack will be satisfied here! |

Thanks. I don't think I can recall ever having a truly lucid dream, but I believe I've had several half-lucid dreams where I fly as the method by which I achieve flight in dreams is deciding i dont want to come back down to the ground and jumping in mid-air to boost myself further up, so I'd guess that kind of decision is at least semi-conscious. Even more so in a recent dream I was being chased by something or thought I was and at the critical moment i decided i needed to start flying up into the trees to escape and then on my command i started to soar up, but then I woke up. I also remember very recently I became aware I was dreaming, but at that instant I woke up. I'm not sure if it is a trend for me to wake up when I realize I'm in a dream, most of the time it's because the dream might be a tad bit scary and I also was never looking to achieve ludicity at the time either. Despite not really having any experience I seem to sense it within more of a grasp than previously, not sure to describe exactly why I feel that though. |

soemtimes that happens in alucid dream, you wake up when you realise you are dreaming, particularly if you are new to it...i remember when i first started, it could get very annoying... |
