      Hello again

      Hello!

I am a 20 year old male studying game design in the Netherlands.

I was active on this forum a couple of years ago but lost interest in lucid dreaming for a while. I mainly lost interest because I felt like my progression was going too slowly and I couldn't maintain a steady sleep rhythm.

Anyway, I haven't had a lucid dream since then and its hard to remember how it really felt. I still remember that they were awesome experiences and I really feel like I am missing out on something. I would love to remember my dreams again because it feels like a waste to not remember anything. I would also like to use lucid dreaming to get more creative.

My dream recall has become extremely poor so I basically have to start from scratch again

I am going to start doing reality checks again but I will of course mainly focus on getting back my dream recall and keeping a dream journal.

I feel pretty excited to try this again! If you have any tips for me feel free to post a comment.

Hello Mecius. A game designer, eh? I'm sure that lucid dreaming could help bring creativity into your future job.

There are a couple of courses that DV is doing currently. Check the DV Academy subforum, there's a general LD class, an intro class, and a DILD class. Perhaps joining one of these classes would help you be more successful with LDing and improving your dream recall.

I'm sure you'll regain your recall in no time. Feel free to visit the IRC, there's usually some pretty interesting people to chat with there about dreams.

Thank you for the reply Caenis!

Yes I am studying graphic art for games so I need all the creativity I can get.

I will definitely check out this DV Academy and the IRC. I'm happy to see this forum still being as pleasant as it was when I left.

      Hey,
Yeah you should check out the DVA, I await you there!
You should probably start working on the recall, glad to see you came back though.
      Hope to see you around

My recall is slowly returning. It helps that I have some previous experience with it. I was able to remember 3 dreams last night with pretty good detail! I hope my recall will continue to improve during the school week but I fear it will not be as good as in my well rested weekend. I'll have to wait and see, I might just surprise myself

Its good to meet you all, this forum has some interesting people

School/Work always makes it a little troublesome to have lucid dreams. But at least you have a few breaks in school. I'm sure that you'll get the hang of LDing in no time. As you said, you had some experience in the past, so that'll probably be very helpful for you. Glad to see you made a workbook! I hope the class helps you!
