I don't know if I'm at the right website or not..LOL

I've been having life like dreams since I was little, I can remember being awake but not awake, it sounds crazy I know, but the first one scared me, I could see my bedroom, but i couldn't move my body, it's like I was paralyzed, frozen, then I would wake up for real, after being scared out of my mind. I have had some "dejvu" dreams, nothing major, just like ur sitting in a hair salon and look down and see a pink cord, you know you've seen it before kinda of reflection.

But my problem is, my grandmother pasted away, almost 10 years ago, I had a dream about my family soon after she died, it was weird, she sent me outside to get milk, and it was spoiled, so i walked in her kitchen and told her it was rotten, she sat down at the table and said" everything is rotten, nothings good here anymore", and we talked about my mother and sisters and she told me I shouldn't worry with them, i should leave, and move on, so i got up to walk home, and i walked out side and a giant volcano was erupting from upper pond, lava flowing everywhere burning down the apple trees, coming towards the house, my grandfather was standing there with a hose spraying the flames, I ran inside to get my grandmother and my mom and sisters, but they wouldn't wake up, i couldn't get them to move, my grandmother said run, let them go, just run...so i assumed when i woke up that ya know a volcano in a small eastern pa town and spoiled milk on a farm with no cows..equaled to much junk before bed brushed it off, there was more but that's the jist of it, over the course of the following nine years, my grandfathers farm was sold, all the trees were pushed out or burned out and replanted with corn, my grandfather struggled daily, he was 89 and still drove through the orchard pushing the old ways on this new farmer, right up to his death, My mother died instantly in a motorcycle collision in 2006, my sisters disbanded and i moved away and got remarried, and our old house was redone, nothing looks the same, it's all gone.

I haven't had a grandma dream since the volcano, and one the night she died, when my mother died, she came in a dream, i'm like your dead, she basically told me it was all good don't worry, everything will fall into place. But she keeps popping up, my mother and i'm just curious to see if it's my brain inserting her since she died suddenly or she could really be popping into my head on occasion, it's just i always dream, not always about my family...I tried to quit smoking with chantix and that increased everything by a billion to the point they were speaking polish and i was in a tree..hiding from dogs that ate my legs, my point is, so do I have the right site to answer my questions. LOL

oh and the sleeping wide Awake the last one i had was 9 almost 7 months ago, i was tried to get up and couldn't but i could see my room i was trying to check on my baby, and i could see her in the crib but couldn't walk

Welcome to the forum! This place is all about dreams. Mostly lucid, but in the subforum Dream interpretation in forum General lucid dreaming, you can ask for some insights about the meaning of your dream.

OK, so when you wake up but can't move - that's most likely sleep paralysis. It happens, when your mind wakes up before your body does and you are not released from SP yet, as you normally would. Try to relax, change your breathing and wiggle your toes and fingers. That should help. Or just go back to sleep. You can read about SP in Dv Wiki and in tons of threads.

Dreams usually reflect our everyday lives, thoughts and worries. When we see our departed loved ones, it could be because we think of them, or they are really visiting. (Forum about topics like this is Beyond dreaming). But the best person to interpret the meaning is the dreamer himself, since the symbols in dreams may have different meaning for different people.

If you interested in lucid dreaming (dream, when you realize you are dreaming and often can take control of your dream), please check out the DV Wiki for induction techniques, like DILD and WILD. Good luck and Happy dreams

When I was a kid, I use to dream about sticks, each one I pulled made a louder noise, in my dream, needless to say by the end i woke up screaming as my head was pounding like giving yourself a massive migraine, just stand and scream holding my head, i'm not sure i want to control my dreams...lol
