      Nightly Lucid Dreamer

      Hi,

It's refreshing to know that so many others have this same issue and I'm not alone!

I have lucid dreams practically every single night. I have woken my husband several times. I have turned on the light next to the bed, sat up, and I still saw the images. I see insects, animals, people, weird lights, things going on in the hallway....it goes on and on. One time I woke to find a gun barrel pointed at me through the window. I hopped out of bed so fast! One night I woke my husband because there was a lephrechaun standing on the dresser with a golf club and he was about to clobber him. We do laugh about it. It just gets freaky sometimes.

I don't like when he is gone and I'm alone for a night or more. It doesn't matter that we have two big, protective dogs in the house. I will wake up and my heart is pounding, especially when I wake to see male figures in the hall or in the bedroom. Of course we lucid dreamers think they're real and it doesn't click that the dogs would be all over these people if they truly were in the house!

I almost wish that there was a way to eliminate these dreams. I am getting to the point where I dread when my husband will be away, even thought that isn't very often. The tales that I tell amuse people though! It's a great conversation starter!

that isnt what lucid dreaming is :] although i used to have the same problem [i was epileptic, and id wake up and see scary shit too] lucid dreaming is concious dreaming, and what it sounds like is occuring with you is dreaming whilst awake, rather than bieng concious while dreaming?

Ah, you are correct! It appears to be Hypnopompia. I appreciate the clarity!

This isn't Lucid Dreaming, it sounds more like a dream / nightmare to me
