      Hello ya'll+First LD

Hello everyone. I've been lurking around here for a while, but since I had my first LD today, I decided to join. First of all, whenever I have dreams I describe them in long detailed paragraphs so sorry if that will piss any of you off . Anyway, I've been trying to Lucid dream since I saw this site about a month ago. I always failed. I'd dream I was lucid dreaming, I'd do WILDs that would fail after the vibrations and the paralysis parts, and I'd just have normal dreams most of the time. I already developed my dream recall to 2 to 3 dreams a night so that's good. Anyway, first LD today.

The way I did it was I fell asleep and had a normal dream. Then I woke up for about 5 seconds. My body was so tired yet I somehow subcontiously told myself I was dreaming when I went back to sleep, and throughout the dream. My dream:
I was with these old people and they were being really annoying and telling me to do stuff. Then I went on a walk with them. I knew it was a dream, but was not very lucid. They made me walk with a cane so I made it bend like rubber for fun. I was afraid to wake up so I didn't try anything for a while. Then I tried flying. The second I started, the plants near me became very real looking. EXTREMELY real. I saw light reflecting off their dew drops and stuff. This caught me by surprise and I opened my eyes in real life for a split second and returned to the dream. I flew around with ease. Then I did some stuff which I won't discuss here. (he he allright), but suddenly the dream became less real. I tried spinning, but it just woke me up. My questions are: What technique did I use exactly?, Will I be able to do this again soon or will it take a long time until I have another? (It felt so subcontious that I don't know if I could do it and I really want to LD again)

These forums look great and I'm happy to see they get multiple new posts each day in almost every topic. I hope to get to know you people and to have more LDs...soon.

It was a LD, b/c if you knew you were dreaming, it was an LD! & I think the technique you used was DILD, although you were seriously close to a WILD.
      BTW, welcome to the Forum!

I think I did the same thing that the guy in the post below did. BTW. How long did it take you to get a second LD since your first? I don't want to wait as long for my second one as it took me to get my first one...

Well, I think that I am the wrong person to ask, since my 2nd one was right after my 1st (it was the next night after I think my 3rd B-day)
If you keep trying, you won't have to! Just believe that you will!
