      WILD questions

Hey the other night I was laying there in bed just thinking and I was like hey I'll try a WILD. So I was laying there and then all the sudden my body started vibrating and then I felt kinda weird.. but nothing happened after that.. I just stayed in that state till I stopped myself... What was I supposed to have done? Also are the vibrations real or just "in my head"?? BTW: To achieve this I pretended I was laying in a field of tall grass. And the wind was blowing the grass around hard and I could feel it rubbing against me.

      THX FOR THE HELP!

Hello coreysnyder. I am new at this too, but I think I can help a bit with WILD since I have been practicing and studying it. Basically, what you need to do is to stay calm, relaxed and yet conscious for whatever time it takes till you enter REM mode/dream mode. You basically mentally leave your body behind as it falls asleep. There are a series of steps that you may or may not encounter. Vibrations is just one step. According to your story, you had one set of vibrations and then remained there like that for a while. This may be the first set of vibrations that the body does in relaxing its muscles.

Here is a link to help you understand WILD a lot more:

      i hope this helps.

      Hi coreysnyder

Next time try focusing on a dream setting or imagine your body floating upward and concentrate on your breathing if you focuse on your visualization you should see strange colors produce, Im not sure I've had a countless number of wilds and never had Hypnotic Imagery... Everyone may be a little different find out what works best for y ou. Or if you really get lost just ask...

      Jesus Smurf??
      That's cool.

      Talking about hypnotic imagery:

I usually daydream first to put me into dream mode and set the atmosphere. It also quickly gets me to sleeping. However, afterwards, I have to focus real hard to stay conscious. During that time, my mind starts its wandering. I see images that just pop up. BUT--according to this site, those images should be illogical. Mine don't seem to be. AND--according to another site, those images look very clear. Mine don't appear to be right at my eyes (like at the third eye position). But instead, I see it through my Mind's eye and appear a bit blurry. Not so vivid.

So I too haven't experienced this hypnotic imagery and I wonder is it the same for everyone. If you don't mind me asking, how was yours, ShadowNightWing?

So far I've gotten the vibrations for three times. The first one got me completely unaware and my shock spoiled it. At the second time, I mentally repeated the mantra "auhm" and focused my attention in my forehead, then I felt my body floatting and when I opend my eyes I saw myself in the air, near the roof. After that, my excitement sent me directly back to my body. At the third time, I felt more confortable with the sensation and I just pretended I was weightless. I easely separeted from my body and had a classical OBE, although a short one (about one minute).

      Hope it helps.

      Good Luck.

Actually Dew Dust. Im pretty much like you: I never see the hypnotic imagery, most of the time the visual is fuzzy but the sensations are intense as far as the physical aspects the feeling of free falling or buzzing noises on a audio level. I ususally can here the dream setting taking place before I get Lucid, for instance during WILD's I can hear voices and people talking, like groups of people sometimes and I know this is my dream setting that is not fully developed. Visually the picture is fuzzy. But focusing is has not been a issue with me. I simply set the mode like you by daydreaming and then as Im laying there It feels like something just shut my body down. I can immediately feel SP setting in and I feel all other sensations following along with that. I view from teh 3rd also mostly within WILD but never at myself I know its not the 1st persons view I don't know how but I just know. I guess its just the dreams eye.. Then before I know it everything is clear and the first thing I see is myself laying down somewhere in my dream and then I get up and Im Lucid all the way... Hope that kinda lets you know more about my WILDS... But if you want to talk more about them feel free to PM me anytime and well discuss them considering it seems as though we have the same Wilding capabilities...
