      Newbie :)

Hello, I'm a newbie as you read in the Subject Title, I will go ahead and introduce myself a little bit. My name is Andi, Im 16 and from the USA. I found this site on a search engine b/c i was curious about learning to control ones dreams. And, I already have a question to get me started! lol Well everytime before I fall asleep I remind myself to think aobut how I am going to try and practice having a lucid dream.. but then when i have a dream.. I totally forgot what i was going to do. Is there any suggestions? I would appericate them a lot! Thanks a lot!

Hello, and I know I already sent you a PM, but welcome again anyway!

In answer to your question, you might try writing down the things you want to accomplish while lucid. Sometimes the physical act of writing can help to reinforce an idea in your mind.

I'm not quite clear on one thing though -- are you saying that you become lucid, and then forget what you want to do? Or are you saying that you forget to do things to induce lucidity in the first place?

      Welcome Andi

It sounds like he wants to have a lucid dream and attempts to think of ways to have a lucid dream before he falls asleep but when he does get to sleep he forgets what he wanted to try.

If this is not accurate please disregard my understanding

Hello! I am new at this too. But I will try to help the best I can. By the way--Welcome Aboard and get ready to have experiences of a lifetime

Keep in mind, it takes motiviation, practice, and confidence/positive attitude to achieve...well, any goal in life hence also to achieve Lucid Dreaming. So instead of saying to self " to think aobut how I am going to try and practice having a lucid dream"--don't say try to have, but say will have a lucid dream.

Another good way to get started to become familiar with inner self and your dream world so you can identify those 'feelings' of being in a dream world or recognize it being a dream world versus the real world. To do this---start a dream journal. Every morning you wake up--start writing. It will make your dreams start to have importance to you and help you with better recall. You start to become more conscientious of your dream world and its surroundings and behavior.

This leads to idenitifying your dreamsign--something you mostly do in your dreams, but obviously can't do in real life. And this brings about Reality Checks.

To make a long story short (too late, right ), check out the tutorials. They are full of information in much detail to help you.

It sounds like she wants to have a lucid dream and attempts to think of ways to have a lucid dream before he falls asleep but when she does get to sleep he forgets what he wanted to try. [/b]

Good luck with the LDs. There tricky to get a hang of but once you do they pop up out of know where.
