Hello there.. (couldn't think of a better title)

Well, obviously I'm new here! So hello!

I've been trying to get lucid for a while now, actually I think I was pretty close a few months ago, but due to final exams this year I didn't write into my DJ anymore, my DR dropped to near zero and now I'm back where I started.

I'm also a member on ld4all, but thought it couldn't hurt to register here as well. The more time I spend doing/reading LD-related things, the better, no?

Well, why do I want to get lucid dreams? I guess I'd blame my need for the occassional escapism. I'd love to visit the fantasy-worlds and other surreal places I imagine during daytime in my dreams.

That's why I want to devote a lot of time this year to achieving lucidity. I'm not sure how to do this yet, but my ultimate goal (over the next few years) is having LDs every night.

      Welcome

Life can be a pain when you're trying to achieve lucidity, you really need to try and keep up your basic practices! We definitely have a lot of resources here to help you with you goals though, so I'm sure you'll be having lucids in no time. Ever thought about joining our introduction class? The best reason for having dreams is that in dreams no reasons are necessary.

No sailor controls the sea. Only a foolish sailor would say such a thing. Similarly, no lucid dreamer controls the dream.
Like a sailor on the sea, we lucid dreamers direct our perceptual awareness within the larger state of dreaming.

Well, I didn't have the time yet to take a closer look at the forums but your suggestion looks promising. I'll check it out tomorrow for sure.

Right now I'm gonna go get some sleep and do a little WBTB though..
