      Hi, new here

Hi. I've had lucid dreams on and off for about 16 years now starting after I read a book about dreams when I was coming off hard drugs. I usually get about 1 a month without trying but they are only what I call level 2 LDs. I can control my will and a certain amount of the environment but things are not truly more real than real like in a level 1 LD, when I feel unbelievably exhilarated and feel in hyperreality. I normally only get those about twice a year. For years I have not really put much effort into trying to LD. However recently I started on an anti-depressant called mirtazapine which has made have an LD nearly every night since I started using it. It all started when this normal person in a dream turned into this strange protohuman being and told me that I was in "the inter-dimension between dreams and reality" then change back to the normal person. I decided I would try to find out what this was and in a few subsequent dreams asked characters if they knew what it was. The trouble was the explanations were too complicated to remember on awaking - although an android told me that it was "a good thing" and they had an astral book going upto 2003 with all the information in it. For some reason since then, he said, they have had a new book each year. Anyway, I gave up on trying to get an answer to this question and decided to to try to meet other lucid dreamers in my dreams. Last night I had an amazing experience. I walked into a room full of people and asked if any of them were lucid dreamers. Most of them said yes and I said it was an odd place to meet up. One of them said I should to the "plateau". I asked how and he told me to shut my eyes and then open them again. I did this I was suddenly on a plateau high in the mountains in a beautiful terrace garden with people wandering around. It was so beautiful I could feel the wind in my hair. I had a glass of wine which was the best ever. I started to speak to someone but I was so excited, as I had always wanted to meet other lucid dreamers in a dream that I forgot to remain lucid. After that, it was still beautiful and fun but not quite so real. I woke up soon after that.

This experience has made me determined to make more effort to have lucid dreams, like keeping a dream journal again and doing reality checks, and stay lucid etc. It has put me on a real high today.

      Peace and love,
      Chris

      Hi chris, to DreamViews!

Great job with the lucids, I see you've had a lot of experiences already. Feel free to browse the site, and don't forget to check out our Wiki section for tutorials, etc. You might also be interested in the Beyond Dreaming section.

See ya around, and good luck! Oh and feel free to ask any questions or share your ideas :3

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
