Hello (Is It Me You're Looking For?)

      Greetings.

I arrived here out of curiousity of the experience and an off hand comment by a friend.
I'll most likely just be lurking, but you know I'm here

Can I just ask, is LDing like being awake when you are aware and making conscious decisions of what you have done and have memories, or do you just have memories? Also, when you started could you remember less of your Non Lucid dreams than after you started?

Depends on your level of awereness, and on the vividness of the dream, but a lucid dream can be exactly like the waking life. You can makes conscious decisions, and have memories.
And no, having lucid dreams, doesn't interfere with your non-lucid dream recall.

Nope, I said the wrong word, I meant more, just mixed up the sentence.

Could you remember more of your Non Lucid dreams than after you started?
How often do miss a chance for lucidity?

Personally, I remember more non-lucids after I started lucid dreaming. I'm sure it has to do with the fact that I pay more attention to dreams and give them importance for the purpose of lucidity, so in turn, it will also affect the nonlucid ones.

I guess every time you sleep and dream is a chance for lucidity. I don't get lucid every time, but I'd prefer to think of those as "warm ups" for the real thing, rather than missed chances. Of course, there are times when I talk about lucid dreaming in my dreams, yet I don't get lucid. Those are annoying as hell. :p

Just like two nights ago, I was having a conversation with a DC when I realized I was dreaming. Instead of getting off the chair I was sitting in, nope, just continued chatting. That's annoying as hell.

Don't know where else to post this.
This morning as I was waking up, I became aware that I was in a dream.
So I looked down at my hands and I had more fingers than I should, so I think I became lucid right at the end of my dream.
It ain't much in terms of having fun, but its a step in the right direction.
      Ciao!

WOOO! If you realized it was a dream, then yep, that sounds like a lucid to me

      Congratulations! You are definitely on the way. This is only the beginning >:}

Since when did the forum had a preloader for usernames and why are they so slow?

      Oh wait.

Also my definition of lucid dream are dreams that you are not stupid and realize that you can do whatever you want.

Last questions (I think (Is there a better section/thread for this))

      1. What would be the best way for me to go about identifying my dream signs? - I haven't actually noticed any recurring themes yet (maybe apart from long drops).
      2. Does anybody have a link to any good DILD tutorials?
      3. How long on average (via DILD) does it take to get the first proper lucid (just wondering, I don't expect it to happen in a week)?

      Check this DILD tutorial.

Also check this technique. I haven't used it, but people tend to have good results with it.

You could also try the MILD technique at the same time.

Stick with each technique you try for at least 2 months.

      1. I made this quick guide to identify dream signs, hope this helps: http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/cant-f...s-read-135497/

      2. Puffin's DILD Guide - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

You can check this out too, it has some other links for other techniques: http://www.dreamviews.com/f151/begin...son-ii-131245/

      3. It really depends on everyone. Others naturally lucid dream without much effort, while others would require a bit more. But from what I've read around the site, most beginners get a DILD in a few weeks or more. But it could be totally different for you, who knows, you'll get one in a few days! Just keep at it

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
