Sharing dreams with a friend from the earth plane

Hi! I am excited to have stumbled on this community tonight, and am hoping to have a long held question answered. Has anyone else had experience they would like to share with meeting someone you know from 'everyday' reality in their dreams. I was regularly meeting with a man whom i know- and in the dreams we are both lucid and aware of being together. Yet in 'everyday' reality we didn't discuss it, because of the forbidden nature of our relationship. We just gave each other knowing looks and continued on with our friendship. I am so sure that it was really him i was meeting in my dreams, and that it was not a fragmented part of myself playing out unfulfilled desire.
We were always so happy to see each other on the dream plane. Once he gave me information regarding a life decision that saved me heading down a wrong path.
Has anyone else experienced this kind of thing, or can refer me to literature regarding it?

Hello Penn,

That is certainly interesting! I haven't ventured yet into shared dreaming, as I am just starting out with lucid dreaming. But I plan on going into that aspect in the future. I think the topic of shared dreaming is fascinating.
