I never knew about lucid dreaming beyond that as a child I had learned to control my dreams in the nightmare state through telling myself that the big grizzly chasing me is a dream and you can fight it. This stopped an awefull recurring nightmare started by campfire stories from uncles while camping in the woods. A little while ago I read an article about lucid dreaming in readers digest and have been trying off and on to accomplish it. Last night I did. I dont recall how the exact dream was going when I realized I was dreaming except that when I took over I used an idea I had read about going through a doorway knowing that something you want will be on the other side. It worked and I remember bits of it. Starting a dream journal immediately. Great forums all and great ideas I look forward to reading more and hopefully sharing more....the other side of the door might be a little graphic if there are kids reading
