On/Off Learner Determined to Keep at it This Time

Hello, my name is Michael. I've been interested in LD and Astral Projection for a very long time and don't quite remember when I first heard of it, though I'm sure it was sometime before 2005 when I moved with my family before high school. Since then I've been on and off on attempting lucid dreaming, but now I've decided to take my training more seriously and join this forum. Hopefully this'll make me more accountable for dream journals and such.

I think alongside the typical strategies, I'm going to try mixing in binaural rhythms and hypnosis to my regimen.

      Welcome!

Glad you are deciding to stay motivated! The key is sticking with it and not giving up. Hope you get lucid soon if you have any questions please ask!

      Welcome to DreamViews!

Like Mancon said, don't hesitate to ask or share your ideas. You might also want to check out the Beyond Dreaming section of the forum, seeing as how you're into Astral Projection : )

      See ya

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

      Thanks for the suggestion!

On another note, I'm dog-tired this afternoon. I have a vague memory of hearing that LD is easier when your body is exhausted. Anyone know about this?

      Np!

And about the exhaustion, well I'm not exactly sure how, but I think it might be because when you're really tired, your body tries to make up for it with your REM sleep to rejuvinate you. So if you get more REM, you get more chances to lucid since it's where most of the vivid dreaming happens.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
