      Hi. i'm new.

Well I started lucid dreaming about a year ago but then stopped after 2 months and 7 LDs or so.
I call myself MyCooky, just my anonymous Name for nearly all Websites i use.
Now I'm trying to get back to lucid dreaming, my first one for now was a week ago using the DEILD method.

I have a Question about MILD:
Do you think it's possible to repeat while going to bed to myself:
"I will dream of a piano in every of my dreams."
So that I can make an RC in real-life whenever I see a piano
and when I dream of it I'll again make an RC to realize I'm dreaming??

Looking forwars to a long time on this forum and also to a useful reply,
      MyCooky

Welcome to DV 7 LDs in two months is a really good start! I think I had... 3? Took me a month and a half for my first.

I would say that that is a long mantra, remember that it is not the words that matter, but the meaning behind it. If the meaning is long it loses parts of the meaning and may not work altogether.

With RCs and dream signs, it is easier to find a dream sign that you already have, rather than trying to incubate it into every dream, dream incubation takes a lot of time and it would be doubtful that you would get it into every dream till after a long time of practice. If you don't have a DJ you need to start one, it increases awareness, recall, and you can look over it for dream signs. A good dream sign is something you see a lot in real life and in almost every dream. (Doesn't have to be sight, can be another sense).

      Hope this helps.

      Hi, MyCooky! Welcome to DV!
Hmm ... Well, you could try it but I don't know if it would really work. I mean, if you see a lot of pianos every day and you happen to see them frequently enough in your dreams, it might help. But I think it's more effective to do it the other way around. That is, keep a dream journal and keep track of what objects show up a lot in your dreams. For example, if you notice you see stairs a lot in your dreams, you can learn to see stairs as a dream sign––and in your waking life, you can do an RC every time you climb up or down the stairs. So what I'm saying is, it'll probably be easier to find dream signs that are already in your dreams than to force dream signs into your dreams, if that makes sense. Hope that helps!

I actually do keep a dream journal. But I don't see much signs that rappear through various dreams.
I actually play the piano so I thought it would be cool to have it as a dreamsign,
so I thought that could work (I actually see one quite often, not only at home).
I experienced that my mantras usually worked with great succes. e.g. "I will wake up after every dream" (For my Deild)
I'm practicing MILD because I dont want to wake up during the night, since I still have to go to school.
For the next days I think I'm just going to try my mantra, untill I discover a decent dreamsign.
Thanks for both of your help.
