Hey guys, heres an intro about myself

Hi, first of all i would like to say that this seems like a great dream community. My friend has just recently gotten me into LD. I was talking to him, and i realized that i had once long ago, had a lucid dream. i didnt know what it was called back then, and then when i was talking to him, he explained to me that it was practicable. So here i am reading about how i can being to LD. Coincedentaly, a few weeks ago, i was reading about sleep in general and have been practicing remembering my dreams since then. I havent been keeping a dream journal, but ive been trying to remember the dreams that i have when i wake up, i know i should be keeping a dream journal, and from tonight on i will be doing so, however just by trying to get my brain to realize that my dreams are infact important, and not throw them out, ive been able to remember with quite good detail, the dreams ive had for the last few days.

I will now share what i remember of only lucid dream i remember experiencing, it happend about 2 years ago i belive.

It was quite weird, i was in mcdonalds, and saw ronald mc donald, however i some how knew he wasnt the "real" ronald mc donald, and it dawned on me that i could control my dream.

yes retarded i know, haha, but thats pretty much it. Hopefully this cool forum will help me achieve my goal of becoming a lucid dreamer.

      Tmaster,

Welcome to Dream Views Bro, let me or any of the Official dreamguides (names in green) know if there are any questions you have about anything, doesn't have to be dream related. You've already observed the outstanding community here so I don't need to mention it.

      Ciao,
      John

hey, welcome to the baord. And i wouldn't say your first lucid dream was 'retarded' i think it's best if you start out small and gradually work up to it. A dream journal is a great idea...to me, it's almost a requirement to learning the skill.
you think you remember a lot of detail, but i personally find i remember a lot more as i'm writing it down, i'll be there and it'll be like 'oh yeah, and then that happened afterward!'
      it really does help!
any questions, fire away, and we'll do our best to help!

      NOOB

I'm pretty new at this sort of thing. Is it true that if you have a dream, and you see someone that you know in it. Are they having the same dream as you? I think I've been told that, that is the case but I'm not for sure. I have a lot of dreams of things to come. It just started. They're pretty cool. I am finding it pretty difficult to attain lucidity. I just found this website.

Usually not....unless the other says the same. If that is the case, though, it would be called DSing!
BTW, welcome to the forum to you, too!

Thanks for the welcome. I've been trying to have a lucid dream for the last three nights but I have been failing. Sometimes I figure out that it's a dream like right before I'm fixing to wake up, and they are starting to fade away. It sucks. So where ya from nesgirl?
