Short introduction to Magicaltouch and my 1st lucid dream :)

      Hi!

I found this website a few days ago, and read the whole site, and then proceeded to lurking on the forum a bit

I have known about lucid dreaming for about a year or so, and would like to try more actively again to have more lucid dreams.

I have had a lucid dream once before that I can clearly remember, and several nearly conscious dreams, where I either woke up upon becoming conscious, or didnt become conscious enough or was distracted.

I loved the lucid dream, I had it after reading a LOT about lucid dreaming one day.
I was running after someone/thing, and at once I thought to myself, why dont I run some faster. Thats when I sortof became conscious, because I noticed that I could easily run faster than anything I was chasing, because I was dreaming. It was so cool to become aware of this, and I remember that I remembered the things that I had read that day (in my waking life) and that I wanted to try to do them. I remembered that I had to try to do a reality check in the dream, and I tried to jump really high, and I tried to fly, instead i floated upwards, into the sky, I remember I could try to reach the edge of space, which worked, but it was dark and black there, so I decided to go back down again... I tried moving through objects, and I indeed could stand in (through) a car. I also had to try walking on water according to a post I read on internet somewhere, and I tried that too. It didnt work right away, everything was a bit vague, but I think eventualy i walked on the surface of the water and it all seemed really easy.

The dream dissapeared as quick as it had come, I dont remember how or why it ended, but I think I probably woke up.

I have to start practicing dream recall better, and I should write my dreams down. I didnt do this until now because of lack of sleeping time, or lack of motivation but I think I am interested enough again to start writing down all the dreams I can remember as soon as I wake up.

I will then try to find out some of my dream signs, and I am also trying to do reality checks more often in my daily waking life so that I will be used to it and do it in my dreams also.

Cool that there is such a nice place with so much information about LD, that doesnt charge money for it!

Hey Magicaltouch! Welcome to DVs! And yeah, this place rocks and its free! This is THE place to share your experiences with dreams and lucid dreams and to learn from those experiences of others.

Its a really good idea to start a Dream Journal, u'll sure realize how important it is a lot later If you haven't already, you should take a look at the tutorials in the Tutorials section (duh ) and start trying things out

If you want even more info on lucid dreaming, like books and stuff, just pm me and I'll help you to my best. Also, if u just wanna ask questions, feel free to pm me as well!

It's refreshing to see newbies enthusiasm (sp) and even inspiring to read.
I read alot of newbie firsts posts and stuff because of this, but dont reply that oftern.

It seems like you are really into it and interested so this is good! It will drive you forward, and its this motivation that will help you succeed. So never lose that! Its one of the secrets to lding. And everything. Your attitude will be one of the main things that will determine your degree of success.
