      Hello everyone!

      Hello Everyone!
      I have known about this site for a while but only just became a member as I got interested in Lucid Dreaming again. About a month or 2 ago I had a brief fascination with LD's and I had one LD through doing a RC which included a false awakening 4 days after I started trying, but I lost focus after that and haven't been trying to LD since. A few days ago however my interest was sparked again so here I am!
      About me: Well I am a 15 year old guy, I play basketball and do athletics in the summer, and I like card games and video games.
      So, I have had 1 lucid dream, but I am hoping to have many more in the future
      Time for some questions: I have only done or attempted to do DILD's with the help of MILD, so do you suggest I try WILD's or DEILD's (I'm a bit nervous about the whole SP thing to be honest)?
      What do you suggest to increase my dream recall apart from keeping a dream journal, as mine is at rock bottom.? I can honestly say on average i normally remember about 1-2 dreams a month, and have for the past few years.
      Finally, any tips on how to improve my dream vividness without drugs and also how to maintain my enthusiasm for Lucid Dreaming? I now regret losing interest after having my first LD, but I wish to rectify that mistake now.

      As to your questions, I would suggest you stick with DILD and MILDs for the time being. If you would like to eventually get into WILDs, it would probably be a good idea to first begin using WBTB. That will increase your chances of having a lucid, raise your overall awareness during sleep, and lay a foundation for future WILD practice.

      SP is mountain made of a molehill honestly. What most people refer to as SP(sleep paralysis) is actually Hypnagogia. There are many sensations/sounds/images that one might experience in this transition stage from wakefulness to sleep, but it is absolutely nothing to be afraid of to be sure. Actual sleep paralysis is when, for some reason the sleeper awakens/falls asleep with a paralyzed body. There are specific chemicals released into the muscles [it is thought] to keep our bodies from acting out our dreams during REM cycles. If those chemicals happen to release at the wrong time, or a person wakes up while those chemicals are still present in the body, the person will not be able to move. This thankfully is extremely rare. So i wouldn't worry about that.

      There are a couple things you can do to increase dream vividness as well as recall.

      1. Memory exercises before sleep. These include: Recalling previous dreams, or recalling the days events. Whatever exercises the memory.

      2. During the day, practice sporadic reality checks. Do something to raise your awareness, and try to remember the past couple hours.
