Did you read the WILD tutorial? To me it sounds like you were getting quite far if you were feeling those vibrations. I understand how it can be startling at first, when it's something you have never experienced before but you can't let it scare you away. The vibrational stage is one of the KEY stages to successfully having a WILD and since you got so far, twice, on your first attempt I think that you might just be a natural and should definitely try it again.

As to Freud's comment, I think we CAN be multiple DCs in our dreams...but I certainly don't think we are every DC in all our dreams. I think our mind sort of creates people to 'populate' our dreamscapes at times. Alot of times I don't even know who my DCs are.
