Hi there,
I'd like to introduce myself here, and hope to be around these forums sharing experiences, and helping new lucid dreamers if I ever learn to do it myself.
I'm a 35 years old guy which started a few years ago to have just a few, very short, lucid dreams, but it's not until now that I started to be interested in learning and mastering the technique, so here I am, thanks to Google.
I'll soon post my first question in the General board, to try getting some ideas to a problem I'm finding.
Extending a little bit this introduction, I'd like to share what I think was my first lucid dream. I was on a nightmare it repeated many time, since I was a child (I guess it was 4-5 years ago), related to a building where we used to live. But this time, while I was on the elevator, I just though: "what am I doing here? I don't live here.... Ohhhhh... that nightmare again?. Ok, lets have some fun".
Other dreams (the few I had) were really short or happened when I was about to wake up.
The last ones, precisely the ones that increased my interest for LD, happened after I was awake, 9-10am, due to some kind of unvoluntary WILD I guess, as I read later in pages here and there, because I had some of the sensations described in the guide by "gab" (can't post links yet...).
The first one was what some people call astral projection (I'm not a believer), where I floated horizontally to my ceiling, then went down to bed, and in a fake awakening I was completely shocked. I discovered it was a dream some seconds later, and I didn't have time even to leave my home...
After a few days I had a similar experience but this time I was sent at high speed backwards, laying in my back, horizontally, into a darkness. I tried to stay relaxed knowing I was again in some kind of travel inside my head, and suddenly I found myself in a forest (kinda blurry forest). Again in a few seconds I was away. But it's good it happened, because there was a lion there, with not good intentions, and even if I was holding his head with my hand, I was asking myself how could I get out of there alive, because I know once I released it, I was dedad... the frustrating part is that I was asking myself: "If this is a dream, why can't I make it dissapear? damn.. I guess this will be turning into a paralysis nightmare soon"... but I woke up
So, that's all for now...
Thanks for reading!
See you around.
