Hey, all. I mainly just want to say what a help this site has been already. Excellent workmanship, on top of excellent content.

I've sort of been casually trying to experience Lucid dreaming, but after reading the information and tutorials last night, I decided to put a lot more effort into it.

For the most part, I would like to get into lucid dreaming for the adventure aspect. I figure, during the dreaming process, since the mind is pretty much focused completely on the dream itself, it is a lot more productive than simply trying to imagine something while awake. This idea appeals to me greatly, as I strive to become an author, and frankly, I'm incredibly easily distracted. I could map out my adventures completely in one night, leaving little time needed for brainstorming while awake

I have a few other, slightly more practial reasons as well. My girlfriend has horrible nightmares on pretty frequent occasions, so I would like to help her train to dream lucidly as well. Even just being able to realize she's dreaming, and realize that there's nothing to be scared of would help wonders.

I hope to become a pretty decently active member here, as well. You guys seem nice

      Regards.

      Welcome to the Forum Wanderer.

Try to implement our very helpul tutorials and also take advantage of the chat system. You can get instant feedback from experienced and aspiring lucid dreamers.

Welcome aboard and please ask any questions you have on your quest towards lucidity.

My strategy would be to have determination and a specific goal and be motivated each night to have ur first lucid dream. You will definitely get there.

      Stay Lucid!!

      Thank you

I guess, technically, I've had lucid dreams before. Only in the most basic sense, that I realized that I was dreaming while asleep.

I'm determined right now to have lucid dreams at will. I'm already able to wake myself up after I've had a dream. I tried to write them down last night, but I was just too freakin' tired to reach over and grab my notebook. I can remember that I had dreams, but I don't remember anything about the first two. I did manage to write down some about my third, and final dream of the night.

I'm going to go to bed much earlier tonight, and see if I have any better luck. Right now, I'm just working on dream recall. I want to take this a step at a time.

[edit]By the way, I meant to ask in my initial post, if any of you have seen the independant film "Waking Life". It has a bunch of neat stuff concerning lucid dreaming, among a lot of other strange things. And a bit of philosophy strewn about.
